Michael Jackson Memorial Service: A Portrait of Greed

It’s Tuesday July 7th, 2009 and if it’s Tuesday July 7th, 2009 it’s…

Wall-to-Wall Coverage of the Michael Jackson Memorial Service© Sponsored by Joe Jackson ™, Coming to Ya Live from the Staples Center® in Los Anguhleez, Caleeforneeuh!!

Boy Howdy!!

I’m just glad that I listen to talk radio during the day before I go to work, because to watch Michael Jackson being lionized, canonized, and eulogized all day on TV by people who have nothing but dollar signs in their heads, would be nausea inducing.

Jackson was on one level an eccentric and uber-talented entertainer…and on another level, other than in the terms and conditions of our legal system, an emaciated, drug and alcohol addicted child molester.

In life as well as in death, Jackson is a figure that is both sad and lamentable. He was the personification of Dorian Gray’s picture.

The difference is that, while portraits and videos of Jackson will forever show him to be a performer of infinite artistry and talent, Jackson himself had devolved into a macabre and disconsolate shell of a man.

And ironically, while Dorian Gray used others in order to secure his eternal future, in Jackson’s death, others are using the memory of Michael Jackson in order to secure their financial future here on Earth.

The ugliness of unbridled greed and opportunism has already reared its ugly head in the wake of Jackson’s demise.

While father, Joe Jackson “mourns” his son’s death, he speaks of a concert tour and a new record label that he is developing.

Spiritual svengali and race baiting charlatan Rev. Al Sharpton, has dirtied the time of mourning by claiming that Jackson’s death has been treated negatively by the media because he was a black man.

Sharpton claims that Elvis and Sinatra were never treated poorly in death like Jackson because well, Elvis and Sinatra were white.

Are you kidding me?

Elvis’ drug addiction was and has been well covered. Sinatra? Okay not so much, but other than providing a subplot for the movie, The Godfather, what the hell did Frankie do?

The issues with Jackson’s alleged child molestation, hanging his kid out the window, and his penchant for bodily reengineering are part of him, and in his later years defined him.

It’s part of who he was, get over it, Crazy (Like a Fox) Al. But…I know Al won’t get over it. You know why?

Because Sharpton can get some face time and make a few bucks off of Jackson’s death…just like Papa Joe is doing and will continue to do.

In fact, I think those two drips of taint sweat ought to think big, and postulate beyond a mere Jackson family tour in honor of Michael.

They could put together a concert tour that encompasses the best of several deceased musicians.

The show could consist of The Jackson Four, The Carpenter, The Righteous Brother, The Mama, and to really bring the house down, The Fab Two.

Al and Joe could call it the, “Living Off the Dead Tour”.

Hell yeah, Bitches!! I smell the aroma of some pecuniary possibilities in the simmering of that idea.

Of course, I am probably a day late and a dollar short, because I’m sure that Al and Joe have already thought of that.

For those who loved and/or idolized Michael Jackson in spite of his warts, peculiarities, and troubling proclivities, today’s service will be a time of sadness.

I am not one of those who loved Jackson, or one who enjoyed his music, but, I will feel a sense of sadness.

My sadness, however, will come later when I see parasites like Al Sharpton and Joe Jackson feeding off of the talent and memory of Michael Jackson.

But there is some solace…

Somewhere, hung upon a cloistered wall, there are portraits of Shaprton, Papa Joe, and others like them…and those portraits?

Those portraits are more in keeping with the picture of Dorian Gray.

Cheers!!
