No One Died...You Won!!

My post will be abbreviated today because I will be performing some changes to the look of my site. This may or may not be successful. You see, I live on the cutting edge of Low-Technology. I am so low-tech that the Gouda Girl asked if me if I was Amish. I told her yes, but I only became one because I dig the clothes. Well that, and the fact that I find it highly erotic when a woman is working a butter churn. But in all truthiness, I am indeed technologically challenged. Changing my banner, may indeed take me all day, and the results could be less than….well, let’s just stay optimistic.

Big news for me this morning, the phone rang at 7 AM. I immediately thought, “uh-oh someone is calling at 7 AM, who died?” I anxiously picked up and answered. The female voice on the other end said, “Matt, this is Christy with WKSW radio and you are our grand prize winner of the two tickets to see Emmylou Harris tomorrow night at the Kuss Center.” How sweet it is. I have always kinda liked Emmylou, but I have become a big fan of her since I bought the CD, “All the Roadrunning”, which is a collaboration with former Dire Straits front man,
Mark Knopfler. (I strongly suggest that you go out and buy that CD if you haven’t already done so.) Emmylou, by the way, also happens to be the hottest and sexiest 59 year old woman in the world.

So, tomorrow night I will be sitting in the front row of the orchestra section of the Kuss Auditorium in downtown Springfield. Yes, that’s right Springfield, Ohio…We bring the big names in. The Kuss is a very nice venue that seats between 1500-2000 people. For a city of this size, the people who do the booking have done a fantastic job.

So there you have it. I will try to have my banner done today and post later, but don’t expect miracles. If I ruin everything, my page goes blank, and I never see you again…Have a Great Weekend.

Cheers!!

Congrats on the tickets!
I've loved EmmyLou for a long time. Great voice & personality.

Looking forward to the new banner.
It surprises me to hear you say you're technologically challenged, because I always thought you had the coolest stuff in your sidebar!
PS = Beta seems to be the way to go, it's WAY easier to add stuff to your sidebar & to organize (for me, that would be morgenize) your site. Plus, I'm loving the fact you can change colors any time your whims desire.
This isn't peer pressure, it's just my opinion....

....come over to the Beta side, Matt-man....

sorry, that was Darth Mo talking.

really, no pressure.

Hey There Mo:

Allie says the same thing about the ease...I will wait til she has it down and then she can baby feed me the instructions...Hell the sidebar was just copy and pasting a code...Free Dictionary does the rest.

I will be reporting back on your Movie questions next week!!

For some reason I can't switch my Gouda blog over to Beta just yet. But my movie blog is in Beta and I absolutely adore it. When I have more time and inclination, I'm looking forward to adding some more features to the site. Does Dictionary.com have an entertainment category? I might consider adding that to The Reel Gouda.

Anyway, I can't wait to see the banner on here!! It's quite easy. Just copy and paste your template into a word document first, so you always have a backup.

Now... where did I put my butter churn?

Congrats on the tickets! I will go buy the CD...now.

Oh, and I made the initial switch over to Beta, but stupidly didn't save the list of all my links, so will have to try to remember all the crap I had on the side of my blog and re-add it sometime this weekend. I'm pretty low-tech most of the time, as well.
