I’m off all day, so I will be anesthetizing myself with Bagwine and should be good to go when it comes to sitting at the computer for more than a few minutes.
I’m going to be buzzing by all y’all!!
In getting my writing groove back, I thought I’d ease into it…kinda like rehabbing in Triple A ball before coming back up to the Major Leagues.
With that in mind, today through Saturday, I am dedicating my offerings to some family and friends of Matt-Man.
First up today? My nephew Kevin…
Kevin is one of the kids that belongs to my brother Denny (second from right in the above pic). In spite of Kevin’s paternal lineage, he has so far, turned out quite well.
Kevin is currently attending Eastern Illinois University…He arrived there via a somewhat circuitous route.
Being an outstanding High School offensive lineman, he received a football scholarship to Bowling Green State University a couple of years ago.
He got hurt, and yada yada yada...he left BGSU, and transferred to Eastern Illinois.
He played football at EIU and was named a conference newcomer of the year.
He played football at EIU and was named a conference newcomer of the year.
Unfortunately, he again fell to injury last year, and his football career as a player was over.
However…
He digs it at EIU, and was tabbed by the coach to help out with the offensive line and they also use him to send in signals to the offense during the games. You know what is uber cool about that?
He gets his own headset!! Doesn’t he look sterling standing on the sideline inside of Penn State’s, Beaver Stadium? Damn right, he does.
Last week, was a big Saturday at EIU. Former EIU and current Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo was in da hizzy!! Kev had his picture taken with Mr. Romo…
Romo is listed as being 6’2 226 pounds, so that gives you an idea as to how big my “little” nephew is.
I just hope Mr. Romo had himself deloused after spending time with Jessica Simpson…Kevin needs no further somewhat football related medical challenges.
Here’s to the Kev-Man, keep those signals clear.
One last thing today…Kevin’s brother’s wife, Jamie will be appearing on Jeopardy tomorrow, October 23rd.
If you get the chance, tune in and root Jamie on. We have no idea how she did, because Jeopardy puts each contestant into some sort of sinister Cone of Silence until their particular episode airs.
Here’s to Jamie…I hope that she did well and that she said to Alex, “Trebek…Your Mother’s a Whore!!”
Cheers!!

does Kevin's brother have a name?
I mean besides "Jamie's husband"?
sorry Kev can't play anymore...I know how that suck...I hope he is happy with the current gig
"buzzing by"?
like one of those worker bees?
I’m glad that you’re feeling better! You still should have got those Perks (for me) though. What an impressive family, that’s cool as hell. Unfortunately, you beat me to the Jessica Simpson punchline.
I’m not sure how good you are with computers, but is there a way that you could upload the Jeopardy episode so that I could watch it? I’m not even sure how to go about that, but I know thousands of people do it everyday. And you know I freaking loved the SNL/Connery reference!!
I have partied at EIU and it's a fun town. And I am so jealous about Jeopardy- I love that show.
Kat: Yes his brother has a name but that is classified. Kev has adjusted well to not playing and no...no worker bee thing. Cheers Kat!!
Scott: I'm sore as hell right now from sleeping but it should dissipate as the morning goes on as it has been and then I shall journey the blogosphere. I'll see what I can do on the upload. I myself will have to find an alternate way to watch it because I'll be at work. Cheers Scott!!
Lady: Kevin seems to really like it there. And yeah...I dig Jeopardy but as I mentioned to Scott, it's on while I am work so I don't get to watch it often. Cheers Mrs. D!!
I have no clue as when Jeopardy is on. What time of the day?
Your little cousin is a BIG man!
Micky: Yes he is...He's a little thinner now, but when he was playing he ran about 6'7 1/2, 318, and the shit still wasn't chunky!!
Jeopardy in this area is typically on at either 7 ot 7:30 P.M. Cheers Mick!!
Beaver Stadium, heeheehee. Sometimes I let my inner teenager out.
Good Luck to Jamie.
Michele: Hee Hee. We're on the same page. I was just going to describe the picture as being taken at a game against Penn State, but then I thought...
I have to throw in it's name...BEAVER Stadium. Here's to grown up teenagers everywhere. Cheers Michele!!
JR's favorite was the title for the food festival in Beaverton, Oregon. "the bite of Beaverton".
...I wouldn't mind being in the Cone of Silence with Agent 99...
Michele: Every time you impart something about JR, I like him more and more. Cheers Michele!!
Phfrankie: Ahhhhhhh. A little hot Cone of Silence action with Barbara Feeeeeeeeeeldon. Cheers P-Man!!
I routinely watch Jeopardy so I will be cheering for Kevin’s brother’s wife Jamie.
David: You are good man, David. Cheers to ya!!
Jeopardy rules! My two dream jobs are either to take over for Alex when he dies/retires or to be a member of the Clues Crew. I love that show. It's on at 5 pm on KSPR out of Springfield, MO if you live in the area people!
I did a quick look around and can't find any site where Jeopardy is shown online without having to download shit. Downloading shit means risking viruses and spyware and stuff like that. I'm sure it can be found on the torrents sites though. I'll keep looking.
You could tape it on your VCR....but Scott would have a different format.
oh...and Scott probably has moved to digital.
Jay: I'd love to host Jeopardy, but I think I would end up saying to someone, "No, seriously...Are you really that stupid?" Any info on the upload would be good but I understand the downloading shit thing. Cheers Jay!!
Kat: We don't have a VCR. We have a DVD player, but no VCR. Cheers Kat!!
I'm glad you're on the mend Matty
Dianne: Thanks Di. Hope you are as well. Cheers Sexy!!
I wish I could watch the show... I don't watch football, so I don't know that player, but your nephew is better looking than that purportedly famous guy.
Hope Jamie does well
Best Oregon beaver joke is still The Lady Beavers. (Girls basketball)
Marilyn: Why thanks. He is a strapping young man isn't he? Cheers Marilyn!!
Bond: We shall see tomorrow!! Cheers Vin!!
Starr: Yeah, I laugh at that. I like the line Cheesy, being the University of Oregon fan that she is, brings up once in awhile...
Save a Duck; Eat a Beaver.
Cheers Starr!!
Big dude is right. Saw Jeopardy tonight but it is not tomorrow night so Jamie was not to be seen.
Lu: He's a big pussycat. Cheers Lu!!
Funny...I glanced at the photo and thought Kevin looked like a younger version of YOU!
I saw a Jen on the show?
