While Obama Wins The Nobel Peace Prize, The Man In The Moon Weeps

Okay bitches...It was announced some six or seven hours ago that President Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize.

Eh...Yeah, I think it's and outrage as well. I mean, how can the Nobel Committee award the Nobel Prize for Peace on the same day that Obama allowed NASA to attack the Man in the Moon?

I am shocked...Nay, Outraged!!

Seriously...I think Obama winning this award is pretty silly. He has yet to accomplish anything of significance in the realm of world peace...yet.

He very well may, at some point during his tenure as President of the U.S., but right now? Eh, not so much.

I will say this...I am already hearing right wing talk show hosts and their callers raise hell about this award. I have a message for those folks.

Obama had nothing to do with this honor. If you want to be angry and rabid, go bite the leg of the Nobel Prize Committee.

If that advice doesn't assuage your hatred of Obama...Curl up into a fetal position, listen to Limbaugh and Beck, and keep an eye out for unmarked, black helicopters hovering above your house.

Oh, and if you could? Say a prayer for the Man in the Moon...

Cheers!!

speaking of Rush...rumors are he may be purchasing my "beloved" Los Angeles Rams...

and who won the Nobel "Piece" prize?

Schmoop said...

Teamster: I had heard that about Limpbaugh. As for the "Piece" Prize? I think the current holder of that prize is David Letterman. Cheers Teamster!!

Why blame President Obama for the prize or for killing the man on the moon...blame the Pulitzer committee and blame Nasa...

OH THE HORROR

Rush is making too much dang money if he is buying a football team

Bond: I don't know...One of the worst human beings on the face of this earth buying control of one of the currently worst NFL teams seems to me to be a perfect fit. Cheers Vin!!

The moon had it coming. It just hangs there in the sky, controlling our tides and shit. I think we needed to let the moon know who the boss is.

Obama winning is pretty outrageous. But, it's awesome because we get to enjoy another full day of the right's pettiness and inability to be gracious about anything.

I looked up in the early morning light today and saw only a partial moon. I think they blew a hunk right off!

psst...there is not even a LA Rams...they play in St. Louis and now African American NFL players have already said they would never play for a team owned by Lush I mean Rush

Wouldn't that be a fricken hoot if Rush bought a team and all the black players walked....

Jay: And another thing...It is allegedly comprised of cheese. Have you ever had Moon Cheese? I haven't either. Selfish Moon. Cheers Jay!!

Bond: Psssst. I think being from the area, Teamster still considers the Rams "his" team, i.e. The Los Angeles Rams. You're not shedding any new light on anything. Cheers!!

Micky: We rejoice and the moon weeps. What does that say about our society? Cheers Mick!!

Ooooohhh noooooo.... Your moon-man looks just like "Mr Bill!" (All kinds of shit was happening to that poor guy - why not just blast off part of his backside! WTF?!)

Schmoop said...

Desert Rat: Speaking of blasting off part of one's backside...What are you doing later? Cheers Rat!!

bond...matt....isn't there more than one thing in your life in which you're in "denial" about?

I'm in denial that the Rams moved...the worse thing for my team was the death/murder of Caroll Rosenbloom.

(In 1979, Rosenbloom drowned while swimming in the ocean behind his Golden Beach, Florida, home. An investigation into his death found no evidence of foul play and determined his death to be an accidental drowning.)

Schmoop said...

Teamster: I was saying that you were not in denial, I think considering the Rams as an LA team was noble.

I was standing up for your mental health. Cheers!!

Kim: Ha. Yes it is. Thanks for the comment and keep up the good work, Kim. Cheers to you and your family!!

I love President Obama, but I too am mystified by how he won this already! And yeah, I'm sure Fox news and Limbaugh will have a field day with this and it's not even his fault.

I'm pretty sure the man in the moon is in the witness protection program...probably living with Tonya Harding in some trailer court.

"So how much does a metaphor weigh? A lot more than NASA thinks. The first man on the moon wasn't an American or a Russian, it was The Man in the Moon we all saw when we were kids, and somebody older showed him to us. That's the first man on the moon, her permanent resident, and now he's got a NASA rocket at his backside." by Andrei Codrescu http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=113677780&ps=rs

Yeah, so we listen to that left-wing NPR. The Republicans can bite me.

Mrs. D: Who the hell knows what the committee was thinking. I think it's grossly premature but what the hell. And yeah, the right will be up in arms. Cheers D!!

VE: I hope he doesn't turn his back on her. She'll beat the cheese out of him. Cheers VE!!

Michele: Ha. Fuck Em. Cheers Michele!!

I have never been a fan of the space program, never.

Lu: I mean I think it's cool, but it is not something I have ever been excited about. Cheers Lu!!

much of the medical technological breakthroughs in the past two decades have been a direct result of the aerospace industry.

money well spent.

They are making the original concept of the Nobel Peace Prize meaningless. Love to know the thought process behind that vote.

Kat: I am well aware of the advancements and I am all for space exploration and experimentation, I just don't get excited about it on a personal level. It's not sexy enough.

Those zany Norwegians. It's Fjord Madness!! Cheers Kat!!
