Happy Birthday America
So here we are. The big 4th of July weekend is upon us…A weekend full of cookouts, parades, overzealous beer consumption, domestic violence calls, and Super Happy Fountain of Sparks accidents.
We, as a nation, will be celebrating our 230th birthday and our freedom in a variety of ways. Some people will cook on the grill, others will play lawn jarts. A young couple may take a drive to the park, delighting in the fact of going from point A to point B without any hassle. Certainly, my friends and I will be drinking, lighting off fireworks, and peeing in the backyard. Ahhhhhh, the joy of freedom.
I know…I know…Having a grill in an apartment complex is illegal in some states, lawn jarts are no longer made because they’re dangerous, the young couple will probably be stopped at a State Patrol Sobriety Checkpoint, and fireworks, for the most part, are unlawful. As for me, if I can still drink and take a leak in someone’s backyard I’m a happy man.
So to all of you, I wish you a great weekend and holiday. Fill your gas tank up at BP, drink a few Labatts, gorge yourself on burgers and brats that were packed by illegals, and proudly wave your Chinese-Made American flag. I know I will.
Happy 4th of July to all of my half-dozen readers, and I will return to Bagwine Ruminations on Monday July 10th…Be safe and Be well.
And Now, Our Moment of Hinn…
For this 4th of July entry, I bring to you a man whose love of country knows no equal, Reverend Pat Robertson:
"The feminist agenda is not about equal rights for women. It is about a socialist, anti-family political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism and become lesbians."
--Pat Robertson

Enjoy your 4th!
I love that Pat Robertson quote, as a Feminist who also happens to be a stay at home mom. Off to go kill my children in a pagan ritual....
Have a graet 4th, Matt dear! :) I plan on burning up fireworks sold by Native Americans. If that isn't a sad irony, I don't know what is. LOL
Both of you have a good weekend. Enjoy your black ritual Laura, and Allie, I have some reservations about you buying fireworks from Native Americans...
You have a fun but safe 4th as well. I plan to do everything you mentioned. Yep, i'm glad to be an American as well.
