I'm Too Sexy For This Blog...

Image and video hosting by TinyPicToday is Columbus Day, a day to honor a man who sailed the ocean blue to feed his need for discovery. Oh, and he wanted to find some gold as well. Christopher Columbus went face to face with the possibility of death and won. He endured filth, angry weather, and the risk of ruining his name, yet overcame all of that to realize the beauty that is the West Indies. Six months later, the indigenous people of the islands realized the beauty that is smallpox, rubella, and syphilis.

Some people question how one goes about “discovering” land masses that are already inhabited by thriving, well-functioning civilizations. Those people are godless libertines who should be punished for heresy. Some say, (even in the article on my sidebar) that some Norseman, named Leif or whatever, discovered America. Norsemen weren’t true Europeans. They were a barbarous undisciplined group of pagans, who raped and pillaged. Would you rather believe that they discovered America or Columbus and subsequent Spanish explorers who treated the inhabitants of the Americas with nothing but dignity and respect? I didn’t think so.

Just think, if Columbus and subsequent explorers hadn’t had the courage to make their journeys, our country today, would be run by bird worshiping Mayans, and hide wearing redskins. Kiss God Almighty, and the little baby Jesus goodbye. If not for the Spaniard’s “Conquest for Christ”, America would not be the pillar of virtue and morality that it is today. God Bless America, and God Bless Christopher Columbus.

I guess I should address the sexy image that I have posted today. This piece of erotica was done by Janna. I was afraid to post it, fearing that my inbox would be flooded by e-mails from women (or if I was younger, Mark Foley) all over the world demanding a piece of the Matt-Man. But then, I thought, hey, if that’s what women want, who am I to disappoint? So enjoy my Adonis like qualities and have a drink of the Matt-Man.

Cheers…

And Now, Our Moment of Motto…

South Dakota: “Leave Your Hopes at the Border”

LOL!! I'm dying over here. I'm thinking you should add a t-shirt of this image to your Cafe Press store.

As far as Columbus is concerned, I'm interested to see if my daughter comes home with the same headful of misinformation as I did at her age.

One thing I've learned as I've been studying ancient history lately is that it always seems that humans are hell-bent on war and conquering.

If I didnt want to sell shirts I would definitely put that image on them...

The whole who discovered America thing is really irrelevant.

Yeah, wouldn't it be terrible if our country was run by bird-worshipping Mayans? We'd have an Eagle or something for our national emblem, and a total bird-brain running the country.
Hey, wait.....

Great post. Oh, and, ROWROWWRRR! (That's my "how sexy" noise.) Oh, and I think Columbus Day shouldn't be a federal holiday. Would Columbus have taken off a day when he could have been "discovering?" I don't think so! Now bring me my junk mail!

Me? An America-Hater?
Hey, be nice or I'll put your face on Rachael Ray!
(That's not a good thing no matter HOW you interpret it!)
LOL.

Thanks for clarifying that gutteral noise Laura. I was concerned for a moment.

When I first read your South Dakota motto I thought it said "Leave your HERPES at the border."
