The Journey Begins...

Wow , what am I to do? I am not tied down to a day job for awhile. I have all of this time on my hands. And guess what? I haven’t a clue as to what to write about. Oh sure I do have some exciting things on tap for today. Right now I am drinking the last of the coffee, but it is gonna get wacky ‘round here.

For instance, in a few minutes I am going to take a shower. Scrub up the ol’ man suit and then towel off and brush my teeth. I will then proceed to toss some clothes on and head out to the Dry Cleaners to drop off my suit. Stay with me folks it gets much more exciting. After that, I may go tot the grocery to pick up a can of coffee, and then head back home to do some laundry.

I guess the carpet needs a good vacuuming too, so while my clothes are in the spin cycle I’ll be in the suck cycle. Wow I didn’t realize how much fun having this time off would be. It allows me to catch up on all of the breaking news as well. As I type this I am hearing an update on the Paris Hilton situation. I do have a pretty good idea for a new reality show featuring Paris. The show would pit Paris against Lindasy Lohan and Diana Ross in a no hold barred prison dance contest. It would be called “Dancing With The Guards”. This freedom has really lubed my mind up, hasn’t it?

Well folks I am off to scrub up and meet the day. Until we meet again, Cheers!!

Best of luck to you on your new venture Matt.

BTW, you should be leery of that Jeff guy below. I am taking great delight in how much the Yankees are sucking right now (insert evil laugh here).

I just~ can't~ contain~
my jealousy of your new and exciting schedule! Please remember to focus and write wonderful things....We now expect it from you! Write slave... WRITE. hahahahha.... sorry... Still having the Mommers Goddess hangover here..I'm so bossy, somebody STOP ME. Would you mind picking up a can-o-java for me too please?

The only way to get anything done when you work for yourself is to ignore the housework... that's my excuse anyway. I'd rather write than do laundry any day.

Odat said...

You better have a schedule or else you'll just waste a lot of time...

Your day sounds as exciting as mine: doctor, ultrasound, tae kwon do, and then after school field trip - wanna trade places?

I'd move those paper towels away from the coffee machine. Fire hazard!

I don't know how your heart can stand the excitement, Matt.

Seriously, keep your mind open. Inspiration can come from the least likely places.

Btw, I used to like Lindsay Lohan in The Parent Trap when she was a kid. And I still like her, in spite of all the bad publicity she's getting. :-D

Thanks and great to see ya Adav. I hope all is well with you. Yeah, the Yankees with a losing record what a shame. Bwahahahaha Cheers!!

TB: Sick but funny!! Until I get a visual.

Cheesy: I love it when you get demanding with me. ; )

Marilyn: Doing laundry and some of the other chores keeps Schmoop happy while I amm off. Plus it helps me think.

Odat: You are correct and I told myself before I did this that I would still maintain the same schedule as I did while working. Get up at six, have coffeee, shower and then start writing and looking for a P/T job. Keep me in line would ya?

Songbird: I think it moved when I read, "wanna trade places?" Boo Yah!!

Worm: the coffee pot is on the downturn and doesnt put off enough heat to start a fire!!

Lizza: I have found that to be true as well. If I try to force it it wont happen. I like Lindsay too, she has a great set of......teeth. Cheers!!

Nick: It could be good. It could be bad. If I dont make use of this time I will be put in stocks and whipped with a hair brush. Cheers!!

Nat: It hasnt quite sunk in yet. I have found that even though I am off. Mondays are STILL Mondays!!

Just like I told Nat, Comedy...I still have the first of the week blues. Cheers!!

Enjoy your creative time, Matt-Man! I need to get creative in my "free time" as well.

Schmoop said...

Thanks Laura. I hope you're having a good day. I just found out that my son has a lump on his neck and he has a headache. He has to go to the Doctor. I'll let you know what is going on. He was fine yesterday. I'm not feeling too creative right now.

A shower this early in the day on a day off? You are far too motivated! :-)

Hey Steven thanks for stopping by. Okay so I took an early shower, I did however refuse to shave!! Cheers...

Bond: No nap waiting to hear about Sweetman...

Wow, Matt-Man! Welcome to my life! LOL I hope you enjoy it!

Although I'm sitting here with an oozingly bad sinus infection, feeling like hell is literally on the other side of my door, I laughed very much out loud at "Dancing with the Guards."

Very good, my friend.

Hows Ryno sweetman?

Damn - I hope Ryno is doing OK.

When you finish at your house, you can come to mine... I'm out of town again this week. My house will be a natural disaster area by the time I get home Thursday evening... geez...

When I'm unemployed I love watching those daytime court shows. They are always good for a laugh and they are so short you can usually get housework done around them.

Schmoop said...

I thought that that might be what it is Lisa. Things just arent starting too well as a few other things have gone awry.

Allie: Get that crap out of your system by drinking copious amounts of vodka.

Cheesy and Trav: So far he seems to be okay, he told me that he felt better.

Dixie: Consider it done...Just have a stocpile of WIR for me.

Raven: If I start watching TV, I wont get anything done. Cheers!!

I'm sorry old man, don't know how you're coping and holding up. If it all gets too much, just put the vacuming on hold for another day, it'll wait.
