The Little Matt-Man That Could

There are a lot of things going on in the World of Bagwine right now. I am at a crossroads and it is time to pick which road to take. (No, it has nothing to do with Schmoop) For some time now, I have been in a rut. This in turn, has led to quite a bit of internal anger. I have even begun to curse at the cute little squirrels that frolic on the tree outside my window. The worse thing is that I could have sworn that they cursed back at me the other day.

I have come to a conclusion. It is time to release my inner woman…er…my inner courage and stop selling myself short. I am going to take a chance on myself and a chance in life. I am the one who allowed the rut to get deeper and the anger to burn hotter. It is up to me to dig myself out and extinguish the fire. So life, I say, “Bring it on baby. You and I are going to go 15 rounds and I’m going to win, because I’m Matt-Man bitch!!”

Oh, what does the picture have to do with this, you ask? Absolutely nothing, but one of my brothers (Party Marty) stopped by yesterday so I snapped his picture. I am sorry to subject you to such a horror on a Monday morning.

Until next time,
Cheers!!

If you don't design your own life plan, chances are you'll fall into someone else's plan. And guess what they have planned for you? Not much.

Dang I thought that was Larry Joe Campbell from the show "According to Jim"...

Matt.. do what your heart tells you to do, go where the road is sometimes not paved!

Taking charge Matt-man! I like this new attitude of yours! Yanno, I have this squirrel that I have come to terms with that constantly shares my outside deck with me. I used to shoo him off and scare him away, so that he wouldn't steal the birdseed. But he won all the time. I've made peace with him, and his name is now...Edward. We had breakfast together, him eating the seeds that I generously gave him, and me with my plain ol' bagel and coffee. For real. And, the sad part is, one of these days he's gonna come up to me, or one of his family members with an ugly case of rabis. I'll blog about that some other time! ;)

Life life to the fullest! Don't get hurt.

Tell Edward that I said Hi, and to be nice to you. I'll do my best Deb. Cheers!!

That guy looks just like my uncle... but he has the wrong name.

Squirrells are rats with big fluffy tails. I may be biased though because I'm fighting an attic war with a legion of them.

When you find the secret to life planning, let me know because mine is looking a lot like a soap with too many writers and not enough actors.

Hiya Marilyn...Good luck with your de-squirrellization. As far as life planning? Although not Beautiful, I will be Bold. Although not Young, I will be Restless as I pursue the Days of My Life with Passion. And hopefully I will fnd a Guiding Light to help me along As the World Turns!! Cheers...

Grab life by the balls, Matty; otherwise it grabs yours!

Schmoop said...

Damn Straight Songbird...If someone or something were to grab me by the balls I'd....well probably say thanks first, but then I'd go after them. Cheers!!

Way to go, Matt! Best of luck to you. Nothing wrong with releasing your inner woman, by the way.

Schmoop said...

And her name is Matt-Tilda by the way. Cheers Lizza...

Go get 'em Matt-Man!! Kick life in the ass and make it submit to your will.

And leave the poor little squirrels alone ok?

Schmoop said...

I'll do just that Angell...And I'll leave the squirrels alone because they are kinda cute even though they are constantly freaking out our cat. Cheers...

My husband can't understand why I wake up in the morning swearing. Because I am starting to consider 7:30am sleeping in on the weekends because of the fucking birds. Chirp chirp chirp outside my window.
I've considered siezing the day...now I'm considering siezing a BB gun and get the little fuckers so I can get some sleep.
(Now I feel better, I've vented all my anger on you.)

Schmoop said...

Vent away Raven. I have a bird that wakes me up every morning at 5!! Put some WIR in a bird bath. They'll sleep well past noon. Cheers!!

Well Sir, good luck to you!

I'm not a fan of squirrels. They hide in the trash dumpster and leap out when I throw my garbage away. I hear them snicker about it too.

By the tone of this post, I'd be willing to guess that you're mad as hell, and you're not gonna take it anymore! :)

Go you, baby! I'm clawing myself free of a nasty entanglement myself. May be be shinier and happier people on the flipside. :)

Ruts are hard places to climb out of..I know because I am in one too. But the climb upwards has begun - painful and difficult decisions to make, but I cannot stay in this stagnant place any longer. Good luck. I am rooting for you.
