Shame On You Sheriff Taylor, Shame!!

It is so nice to have the internet connection re-established, and yet I will be off today. I am taking my son fishing this morning and then out to lunch. I am looking forward to it because not only is he my son, but he is smarter and more pleasant than most adults that I know. It seems appropriate to be spending time with him this week with Father’s Day coming up this Sunday. The impending Father’s Day celebration has also triggered a couple of things in my feeble mind. I wish I could go back in time and ask some of the more famous TV dads a few questions.

For instance, I would like to ask Ward Cleaver how he and June had two kids when it is quite apparent that he and June never had sex. And one other thing Ward, “Sweater Vest, really?” I need the answers. And Ozzie Nelson, did you ever get high with your son Ricky? I bet you did.

Who is the worst TV father? My money is on Mr. Drummond from “Diff'rent Strokes”. Hey Mr. Drummond do you feel bad that Kimberly died from drug abuse, Willis has been in and out of jail all of his adult life, and Arnold….well, he’s just freaky? One more thing, “What was Willis talkin’ about?”

I would like to ask Sheriff Andy Taylor, what kind of father allows his son Opie to change his name to Richie Cunningham and move to Milwaukee? Speaking of which, Mr. Cunningham what happened to your oldest, basketball playing son Chuck? We saw him on “Happy Days” twice and then poof!! Did you and Sheriff Taylor have a son switch so Chuck could move to Mayberry, N.C. and play basketball for the University of North Carolina? Aha, I think I may be on to something here!! One more thing Sheriff Taylor, did Helen Crump like to be on top?

Finally, I have a few questions for Mike Brady. Mr. Brady, how is it that…well maybe this line of questioning should be its own post, so I’ll leave it there.

Well folks, fishing and lunch today and dentist and batting cages tomorrow, so my reading and responses will be hit and miss the next couple of days…please forgive me. I do promise that if I take any worthwhile father/son pics of me and Ryno, I will post them.

Enjoy the day, and as always,
Cheers!!

Mr. Drummond really sucked the big one. All of the kids in that show turned out dysfunctional. But, wait, isn't Mr. Drummond dead by now?

And didn't Mr. Brady died of an AIDS-related issue?

Ahhh so much we didn't know as kiddies.

And I always though Willis was talking about me.

TV parents never do a good job of talking to thier kids about the important stuff, like sex and drugs (of course I haven't watched much TV in the last six years so it may have changed). How are we supposed to learn how to parent if our TV role models don't show us?

Joe, I am getting ready to leave and you'll be proud....Instead of fishing, we are going bowling....He doesnt want a pierced ear like me but he does want his head shaved!! The legacy continues...

You added going to the dentist tomorrow like it was part of the fun adventure...if so, you're more twisted than I thought.

Drummond did the best he could do. If you remember, Redd Foxx wss looking after them on sanford and son during the pilot episode.

I hope you have a great day with your son....

As for the Cleavers...I'm thinking it was immaculate conception. Think about it...ewwww...on second thought forget that thought!

Yes, Mike Brady, he was not all he cracked up to be now was he Carol...

As for Andy Taylor...well they have their own set of rules in the south now don't they.

Mr. Drummond was too busy doinking his house keeper and Kimberly caught them in the act and killed herself over the image, Willis was too busy to trying to be the perfect kid and Arnold...well, freak of nature if you ask me.

Aliie: How can you go wrong with that?

Hammer: I didnt know that. I hate your attention to detail ; )

Jillie: We had a great time...But I wish you hadnt put the visual of Mr. Drummond and the housekeeper having sex into my mind. Cheers!!
