Enjoy the Cornbread!!

As promised...Cornbread stuffed with cheese, and sausage. I present to you, the batter...

with sausage and onions added...

I spread it out over a baking pan and added cheese, paprika, chili powder, parsley and some butter on the top...

400 Degrees for 22 minutes and there ya go...

I didn't cut it open, because there was no reason to do so. If there is, I'll take a picture.

The other courses, or the night, for that matter, didn't turn out as planned, but I guess that happens.

I'm going to be gone most of today and tonight, so have fun kids...I hope to see you soon.

Cheers!!

Dianne: Yeah first time. I added corn to it as well so it's kind of like a bit fritter. I mean, I guess it is. Maybe I'll tatse it later.

Have a good one yourself, Di. Cheers!!

Oooh. The comment about making cornbread with bacon has me drooling. Your feast looks really interesting. I like onions, but I would think they might overpower that yummy dish. Lemme know how it turned out.

Wow. I would never have thought to put so much stuff into a cornbread batter. The cornbread itself always seemed enough.

DOH! That reminds me...I wanted to get cornbread to go with the beans and rice this weekend. Drat! I forgot.

OMG, I could eat this whole pan of cornbread by myself, I just know it! It looks SO yummy!!!

Ok, I seriously only put 3 ingredients in my cornbread, and it gets rave reviews every time. My husband even says it's better than his momma's, and southern boys just don't do that.

I must say your fancy yankee cornbread looks tasty and I am going to try to make something like that. So do you use that yellow cornmeal?
