Final Score: Sunny-Side Up and Rare

What a day. It is going to be sunny and 74 degrees here today. But guess what? Saturday we are only going to have a high temperature of 40 degrees with a chance of snow flurries…Ahhh the climatological rollercoaster that is the state of Ohio.

I filled my NCAA Men’s Basketball bracket out last night. I’ve got a free breakfast on the line with my buddy Dave. Not a big fan of the Buckeyes, but I have Ohio State winning it all. On a more personal note…With apologies to Songbird, I changed my initial feelings and am taking Old Dominion over her beloved Butler Bulldogs in the First Round. Sorry Songbird, but we’re talking the possibility of free STEAK and Eggs with a side of BACON, Corned Beef Hash, and SAUSAGE!! Somebody hose me down!!! Okay, I’m fine…Goos Frah Bah…

My post later today may revolve around weddings and marriage. My nephew is getting married March 24th so my mind has been mulling that subject over. Of course, the Almighty may contact me and ask me to expound on something completely different. One never knows.

Until then, my friends…
Cheers!!

Tonight’s Meatless Lenten Menu: Kidney Beans with an onion and cream cheese sauce. Yes, it sounds disgusting but it is ginormously Yum-Oh!!

Well that's alright Odat. Other than my son's games this is the only time I that I get really excited about Basketball. I enjoy watching some of the little known schools knocking off the likes of Duke, Kansas, UNC, etc. Cheers!!

Lets see if I can remember....

Oh ya..." that sounds interesting?!? My fav K bean dish is a cold salad of K beans, chopped hard boiled eggs, sliced black olives and mayo. Yummmmmy!"
I'll be back after work to read the rest of your words of wisdom!

Sounds wunderbar Cheesy. Black Beans, Corn, Tomatoes, with a splash of Italian dressing is pretty good too. I love beans, dammit.

I can't stop looking at that picture. And I can't think because I am drooling. Way to go. Now I have a craving!

Although I'd prefer the eggs to be "up" it is classic breakfast grease food at its finest Nat. Cheers!!

Okay, first off, your nephew and his intended must not be sports fans, else why in the heck would they schedule a wedding in the middle of March Madness?! Sheesh - when hubby and I got married in Indy waaaaaay back in 19??, we made sure we didn't get married Memorial Day weekend, else no one would be able to get a hotel room! As it was, it was opening weekend for The Track, and there were some who were hard-pressed as to where they wanted to be: The Track or the wedding? Hmmmm, lessee....

Secondly, while I am as big a foodie as the next, (and I love me some good breakfast food), I am realistic about my Dawgs chances, and they've been struggling as of late. That does not mean, however, the I don't have faith, and I truly believe they can get through round one should Cinderella decide to skip the glass slipper and wear her damn Nikes!

I haven't filled out my bracket yet, but rest assured, I will be very soon. Did I tell you about the time I kicked butt in an office pool against the all-male staff of accountants?! Won me almost $200 - heehee!

March is one of the most unpredictable months of the year! It was 95 degrees ten years ago today and below zero a few years back this day. Now we’re getting hit with 74 degrees? And then 40 next week??? Geez!

As far as marriages and weddings go- people get that ‘marriage bug’ in them once they go to a wedding, ever notice that? Hopefully you don’t mull it over for too long!

I hear ya Songbird...This year is wide open and Butler has as good as chance as any.

Mo: Beans dont affect me in that way...really...seriously, ask Schmoop. Well dont, just take my word.

Deb: If you come back later today, you will rest assured that my wedding mullings are just for the purpose of an interesting story and NOT a life altering event that I will be participating in anytime soon. Cheers!!

That plate looks delicious!

Not much of a Basketball fan (hockey, football, baseball) but I hope that you when your bet!

Tell your nephew not to do it..lol

Indeed it does Roger. My nephew will be fine and I hope he is happy. Cheers!!

You had me at corned beef hash. Ooh... and runny eggs and hashbrowns. Although I'd happily sub the hashbrowns for some grits heavy on butter. ;)

Schmoop said...

Dear God Allie, I do love corned beef hash. After Lent I'll make a big plate of it and you and I can roll around in it nekkid. Cheers!!

Matt, that breakfast does look tempting, and I'm glad you've embraced the exciting language of Rachael Ray. As for basketball, I don't really care if Duke wins, as long as UNC does not. Can you guess where I went?

Schmoop said...

Hmmmmm. NC State?

That pic looks yummy. But my veggie-loving side is protesting at the lack of veggies in it.

Schmoop said...

Lizza, put ketchup on the hash browns. Ketchup is a vegetable...isnt it?

I had a gut feeling and took Butler to the Final 4. I never get it right anyway and it makes Songbird feel good.

Ask anyone - I'm all about making the ladies smile.

I got Kansas over Texas in the final. Good luck on your bracket.

I'm all about makin' the ladies laugh Trav, especially when I get nekkid. Good Luck to you as well.
