Yesterday's fishing outing began with such promise and the lake looked so serene.
I caught my first fish of the season quickly. This fish may look small, but to put its size in perspective, that piece of bait to the right is actually 10" long so that make the fish 50" long. Trust me on that.
We left the lake and proceeded to the "secret spot", but a turtle attempted to thwart our progress. We ran the car over it, and traveled on. Just moments before leaving the "secret spot" Dave caught a 4 foot long bark fish. I am so glad that people dont depend on us catching their daily meals, but that fish I caught would have fed a family of four...Trust me on that.CHEERS!!

YOu and Dave in the woods alone---please tell me he didn't comment on the prettiness of your mouth ;-)
Is that Dueling Bangos I hear in the background?????
That is quite a picture of an Ohioan speed bump....
A family of 4 eh? Would that be because you would have made your famous fish and Spam hash?
He didnt say that TB, but we left because we thought we could hear banjo music in the distance.
Ha thanks for stepping on my line Cheesy!! Hell I should have brough tthe turtle home and let Corky play with it. Dont knock SPAM hash baby!!
you know dude...you try and tell the ladies that fish is 50" long, you are going to never make them believe that 10" story you try and tell them....
So I have trouble putting the decimal point in the wrong spot. It's completely unintentional...Trust me on that. Cheers.
ROFL! Vinny just killed me. Damn. What was my comment?!
Matt it was a beyoootiful fish. Remember it's no the size of the fish but the...
wait, that is in responce to Bond's comment :P
Exactly Starrlight, it's not the size of the fish it's the how you fillet it. What? Cheers!!
Sorry Matt,,, but these boots were made for walkin ~~~ on lines....
And do you know why women have trouble parallel parking? Because all these years we have been told 6 ins. is this much [holding fingers apart maybe an inch]
Bada Bing...Good one Cheesy...
Looks like you might have enough for half a fishstick there, Matt-Man! ;)
Oh and I love the Deliverance reference -- if that is, in fact, what you were referring to. lol
Sounds like you had a good time. Nice looking fish.
How would you like me to run my car over your monkey????? huh?
Peace
Well, I'm late here to the party, but I had a good excuse...[[giggling]]...um...if you catch my drift...
Speaking of drift, that lake looks very serene. I'm noticing that you are taking all sorts of digi photos now...you must really like playing with...your toys...
Maybe so Allie, but it would be half of a BIG fishtick.
Marilyn: It's a good time whether we catch anything or not. Cheers!!
Odat: That doesnt sound too bad actually.
Songbird: I hope you enjoyed your "excuse" quite a bit. Hey when toys are all one has you need to use them. um...er...Cheers!!
Fillet is not the word I would expect a man to use :P
I get it! You meant a family of four cats. I can see how the fish would be perfect for that.
Starrlight I meant Fill-Et... cheers!!
Trav: Such derisive humor for a Holiday Weekend ; ) Cheers!!
Holy crap! I'm jealous. I've taken the kid we call "Conan" fishing a few times this spring but the 50" mammoth has alluded us. But, I'll have to say that we've caught many, many bark fish, moss fish and what the hell happened to my lure fish.
Badway
You've got kings and queens of snark here. It's rare when I can measure up, so I gotta post it when it happens.
Cheers!
I believe it is 50 inches, uh huh, I trust you on that, uh huh. So it was fried fish and turtle soup on the menu this weekend? Nice....
It's all in the wrist as you cast Nick!!
Trav: You always do yourself proud.
Lisa: I was hoping that I could count on you to pretend to believe me. Thanks!!
My fish are bigger than your fish.... ;-) If you don't believe me go and see for yourself... LOL
