Happy St. Jean Baptiste Day!!

Typically, me being such a pious individual, I use my Sundays to reflect on the past week and give thanks to the Almighty, however; this Sunday is special.
In honor of my vast number of readers who reside in Quebec, Canada, I wish everyone a Happy St. Jean Baptiste Day. For those of you who do not know who he is, just consider him the St. Patrick of Quebec.
I will celebrate today by eating and drinking some of the items that you see in the picture. What do these items have to do with the province of Quebec, you ask? Nothing, but it is how I celebrate while eating and drinking that gives this special day its meaning.
All the while while quaffing Rose and eating hot wings, I will be whining how my State of Ohio should be its own country and that everyone should speak French. Whine, whine, eat, eat, drink, drink...To All of you crazy Quebecois Happy St. Jean Baptiste Day.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend...Cheers!!
Make Sure To Say Happy St. Jean Baptiste Day to Anndi

Those are frozen Pierogies? I love those things. You gotta fry them in real butter. My mom makes the real thing but I'm too lazy. The frozen ones are pretty good.

We will be frying them up as you suggested. I had some a weekend or two ago and they were great. I put out a side of sour cream for dipping, Yum-Oh!! Cheers!!

But, this looks like a normal Sunday series of snacks for you!

Oh I see! It's not about the snacks, it's about the whining.

But, I'm still confused as to how this is different from any other Sunday???

Oh well, enjoy your celebration!

Glad to hear Corky has been upgraded to fair.

Cheers dude!

Travis: The difference about this Sunday is that the wine I am drinking wont be blessed. No, Really. Cheers!!

It's a holiday the Quebecois came up with to celebrate before Canada Day.. Seems the forgot about Old Queen Victoria. Actually, as far as we're concerned, any excuse to drink ourselves into a stupor is good.

And, the Quebecois version of St-Patrick's is Carnaval with Bonhomme.. a dude that looks like the Michelin man mated with Frosty. He wears a red Santa hat and a macrame belt and chugs a god awful concoction called Caribou.
