Happy Canada Day to all of my thousands of readers in that wonderful, albeit insignificant country. To you I say, O’ Canada, and Cheers!!”
Today I am merely posting to wish everyone a safe and fun-filled 4th of July weekend and week ahead. I must be off to the grocery to pick up some things to take to a cookout today. One of my brothers is having a big ol’ party at his house later this afternoon. All of my mischievous brothers will be there. I am taking a black bean, corn, and tomato salad. It is very delicious, and yet maintains my level of cheapness.
So with that folks I bid you farewell for now. Eat, drink, and wave your Chinese-Made American flag proudly.
Cheers!!
Note: Nearly all of you got the poll question correct. Although, I thought about bringing Latin back to the Mass just to piss everyone off.

Have a safe and fun filled weekend sweety.
You too o' Mistress Of Cheese!!
Will you give us the recipe? I like cheap recipes.
You could be the first ever food blogger that's really, for real, into spam.
Um, perhaps you didn't know that Pope Benedict already brought back the Latin Mass. It's being said once a month at "select parishes" in my diocese - has been for almost a year now.
Have a great time with the brothers today, and a wonderful holiday this week. July 4th sucks here in the desert - too damn hot.
And, yes, I have "issues" this week, you lovable butthead.
Marily: A can of corn, a can of kidnty beans, black beans, northern beans, and a can of diced tomotaes with chilies. Add a bit of of Italian dressing (not creamy)and let it sit in the fridge for at least four hours. Voila'!! And you might be surprised by the number of SPAM lovers out there. Cheers!!
Songbird: I think it would better, not to mention funnier if the Mass were done in Pig Latin. Try to stay cool. Eers-Chay!!
LOL Quite the gourmet chef there Matty.
Have a great time celebrating Canada Day!
Smooch
You have a great day Matt! And cheap food, much like cheap sex, can be highly satisfying if the presentation is good ;)
Oh and on the Latin topic, I always found church much more enjoyable when they were doing it in Greek and Latin. Felt less preachy what with me not understanding a word and all :P
TB: It's good shit. And makes for a colorful bowel movement the next day. Kinda like a culinary fireworks show.
Starr: If you ate it while having cheap sex, you could kill two birds with one stone. Pax Vobiscum, Adeste Fidelis, and Eureka to you . Have a good one Starrlight.
Thanks for the recipe! I'm all about the 'cheap generosity'!
As long as we're into Latin-"Ubi,o ubi, mi sub ubi est?" (Where,Oh where,is my underwear?) YAY!! Hey Mom ! 12 years of Catholic school just paid off!
Super and safe partying!
I forgot to mention that you should cut some green onion and put it in there as well...What did Roman farmers drink? Agri-Cola!!
What did Romans play with in the tub? Aque-ducks!
Have a great one!!!!
Peace

A very patriotic way to raise up your flagpole dear!
I own that very outfit too...
I own that very outfit as well Anndi. Let's get together and do some synchronized swimming!!
You know I actually forgot it was Canada Day? I'm a bad bad Cannuck!
Happy Fourth Mr Matt!
I know Boy, ya move to England and you forget your roots. For shame, for shame. Cheers to you Boy!!
You're a good neighbor to your neighbors in the north, Matt-Man! I could make myself a natural maple leaf bikini with the big leaf maple tree leaves outside my window. Seriously, the leaves are big as dinner plates. I think I'd have to be pretty drunk to wear it in public, though, even on Canada Day!
The salad sounds pretty darn tasty, and I usually have all of those things - except for corn, which H2 is allergic to - in the cabinet. Hmm. what to use in place of corn?
Enjoy your cookout!
Veni, vidi, vici. My Latin teacher's fave joke: I have a Roman nose. It roams all over my face! Bah dum bum...chii.
That is one smokin' photo! It almost makes me want to "switch." Okay, maybe not, but I can appreciate hotness in any form!
Laura: Replace the corn with Wild Irish Rose. Cheers...
Steven: Ha, Good Man. I just wish someone like that chick would appreciate me!! Cheers...
Do you have the music?
Think we can bribe the Russian judge?
I've got some rubles...
