A Quarter Ton O' Bagwine!!

What do George Bush eating dinner with Joe Stalin, my desire to have a sex change in order to become a lesbian porn star, and a litany of rants against incredibly evil annoyances such as Pastor Rod Parsley, Dick Cheney, and Rachel Ray have in common?

Answer…These are a few of the topics that have contributed in making Bagwine Ruminations the super nova of high brow humor and insight that it is today. (Ed. Note: I guess your sexual prowess isn’t the only thing about which you exaggerate.)

You may ask yourself why I bring this up today. Then again, maybe you really don’t give a damn and are currently typing in a Google search using the terms: Catholic School Girls + Mogen David + Auto-Erotic Self-Crucifixion. If so, you’ll be disappointed; I’ve already tried it, the only image that shows up is that of a cross-dressing Rabbi climbing a grape vine, so stick with me. I mention what makes this site what it is because today is a very special day…

Today marks the 500th post for Bagwine Ruminations!!

Yes folks, Bagwine Ruminations has been the catalyst for laughter, pause to think, tears, and more than a few investigations into my mental well-being . Five-Hundred posts is definitely a milestone of which I am quite proud. The primary reason that this makes me proud is that for once in my life, and listen up ladies, I can truthfully make the point that I have staying power!! Just call me “The Blog Hog”, Boo Yah!!

I am also relatively happy with the entries that I have made over the course of 500 posts. I like to think of my site as a smorgasbord or a buffet of blogitivity, where the menu changes daily. Some days I may serve a healthy entrée of political commentary such as when Dubya and I get together and discuss important issues over drinks and dinner.

Other days I serve up a meal that looks and tastes quite disgusting and yet it lures the customer in with its guilty pleasure qualities, such as when I wrote about putting milk on my boys in order to develop a closer relationship with my cat. Fridays consist of the best dessert around in the form of my Stream of Consciousness.

I enjoy doing some blog cooking for all of you, and the best thing about serving up a plateful of posts to you is the amount of tips I get in the form of your comments. That makes the effort worthwhile. So to those who have made this site possible, such as Schmoop and Allie, and to you the readers who help to keep Bagwine Ruminations pouring out everyday, I thank you.

Have great day, and as I have said at least 500 times…Cheers!!

Whohooo! Congrats Matt. I've been by several times in the last few days but the kid, dog, and telephone always go off just as I'm about to comment. I'll do better.

You've been blogging a long time. How did you do it in the olden days?

Congrats, Matty me darlin'. I always suspected you had staying power.

Bond: Dont be ashamed of your feelings. You follow in the footsteps of great folks such as Oscar Wilde, Rip Taylor, and Larry Craig. Embrace it, and pour me another drink. Cheers!! ; )

Marilyn: I understand completely. I've only been blogging since May of 2006 and back in those days I would blog fully clothed, nowadays I am always completely nekkid. Cheers!!

Songbird: Thanks ba-bay, and thanks for holding on to that myth. Cheers!!

Congrats Matt! That is indeed a milestone. Now you realize you are signed on for the long haul now, right? No quitting now. And for some reason I didn't read that as Blog Hog, I read that as Boss Blog ala Smokey and the Bandit.

Did I mention I am on migraine meds? Head no hurt, but I am serioulsy spaced :P
