I have and I just did.

I had to look it up:

A vacuuous expression afforded by someone in a position of leadership in order to feign interest in the response to questions. Often used in conjunction with an unsynchronised nod and "hmmm".

The Bacon and Cheese Sandwich of 1905 was an especially good sandwich. High in cholesterol, maybe, but really quite delicious. Sandwich connoisseurs, if they still existed, would all agree that it surpassed all other sandwiches of its type and, indeed, probably surpassed most other varieties of sandwich. Alas, the night the sandwich was presented, that of October 14, 1905, marked the end of the noble tradition of sandwich connoisseuring, a great loss to the world of international snobbery.

The Bacon and Cheese Sandwich was built in four stages, starting exactly one year before the sandwich was to be revealed to the public. These stages were in themselves very momentous events, making headlines across the world and affecting the stock market in ways grossly out of proportion to their material significance. An international team of chefs, highly specialized in the craft of sandwich-making, was assembled from over 250 countries; an absurdly large figure, given the fact that there are less than two hundred countries in the world.

Have you ever wanted to leave a comment that was mainly just a long boring BLAH BLAH and got nothing to do with the post you were commenting on? I have and just did. It felt GREAT. Thank you, Matty!

Schmoop said...

Kat: Hmmmmmmm, interesting. Nodding...Very. Cheers!!

Sanni: Ha...Very Good, sexy one. And I like it even more because it contained bacon. Mmmmmmmm bacon. Yum-Fricking-Oh!! Cheers!!

Damn it. I was going to see if my title section would allow for me to post an entire 400 word post in it just for fun, but now, not only have you done it, but you did it poorly.

Dude, you should have run away with it!

Schmoop said...

Kyra: Why Thanks. Cheers!!

Jay said...

Great post Matt-Man! One of your best ever! ;-)

Schmoop said...

Jay: Thank you Jay. Coming from someone who has the gift of humor, discriminating tastes, and a certain elan, that made my day. Cheers!!

WTF...how did I not come here until now????

I came to see what snappy comeback you had made to my comment from earlier - but since this is my first visit, I guess i did not leave a comment - though I was dang sure I have been here and read a post that was more than a freakin' title and left a witty comment (F off---all my comments are witty) and then you would respond with a witty, off-colored response and maybe show me man-love and then my day would be complete...

But I come here and damn...I guess I by-passed you this morning since there is no comment from me (as i already stated) which thusly means no off-colored retort from the host (that would be you)

F me...I might as well go smoke a cigarette

Schmoop said...

Bond: Maybe you did but it got lost among the deep and thoughful remarks that I posted today. Smoke Up. Cheers!!

I'm glad you went first. If you're still alive and posting tomorrow, then I'll know for certain that it's ok to do this, and that the Blog Sprites won't get me if I do it.

Schmoop said...

Travis: Title away my good man. I am still amongst the living. Cheers!!

Raven: Well once in awhile I need to serve up fast food instead of a delicious buffet. Cheers!!

Level with me: Are you still suffering from the Saturday night Folkwinepalooza? Is this really just a clever attempt to cover up a TWO-DAY HANGOVER? Shoot straight, Cowboy.

And Happy Opening Day! Watched "The Natural" last night to get "in the mood." It was so sickly sweet that I've had bees swarming around me all day.

really Mr Teamster?

this is what you want to chat it up about?

Do you really think this is in your best interest?

Schmoop said...

Desert Rat: No, no seconf day hangover, just kinda burnt out. I hope you enjoyed watching Wonder Boy in action. Cheers!!

Teamster: Not a big Bonds fan but the front office of the Giants really have screwed him over with their hypocrisy over him.

He put asses in the stands which they liked, but now they want nothing to do with him. Cheers!!

Schmoop said...

Kat: Ha...I thought his comment was just duckie. Cheers Kat!!

The Teamster said...

what the #uck....I was giving barry some love...some respect...attendance was down by 20% for the giants in spring training.....at least I didn't mention how great their pitcher named barry has done...that's 126 million well spent....

I can't believe I've been attacked by a blindside...

me

katherine. said...

I am rather displeased with the way the giants' organization has behaved. Every reference....photo...mention...et cetera of Barry and his career have been removed from the stadium.

Barry brought in a tremendous amount of cash for the Giants...and now they have drop kicked him.

I would imagine it is very demoralizing for his former teammates to see how the organization is treating him.

Its gonna be a tough couple years.

The Teamster said...

I would imagine it is very demoralizing for the teamster to see how the katherine is threatening me.

Dirk: You're missing out. Cheers!!

Marilyn: I simply must disagree. Cheers Marilyn!!
