Hey Vito!!? What The Hells Ya Doin'?

It’s going to be a warm and pleasant Sabbath here in Bagwine, Ohio.

I didn’t see Ryno yesterday, so I will be going to see him tonight after my 11-7 shift is over at the Beer Mine today.

Going to see Ryno, affords me the opportunity to spend time after work, or any other time for that matter, with someone who actually digs me…I appreciate that.

Today, I want to sermonize about my new favorite dago and patriot…Vito Congine, Jr. of Wisconsin… specifically the village of Crivitz, WI.

Evidently, Vito spent nearly $200,000 to remodel a building and start up a supper club that specializes in Italian food in the village.

Prior to him expending his hard earned lira, the Village Board implied that he would get the liquor license that he sought, in order to make his investment viable.

Well, the Board, after his expense of time, sweat, and most importantly, money…Told him that he wouldn’t get his license, making his investment practically worthless.

In response to the Board’s decision, he decided to fly his American flag over the new and in all likelihood, forever to be empty building, upside down. Yep, a sign of distress, flown by someone in distress.

Well guess what, Bitches?

Hours before a 4th of July parade in the Village of Crivitz, police went onto Congine’s PRIVATE property and removed the upside down flag under order of the Marinette County District Attorney, Allen Brey.

Why you ask? Because Allen “Butthole” Brey said that it was a 4th of July disruption, and it was “upsetting” folks in the town.

Do you, my most beloved readers love irony? Because let me tell ya, I sure as hell do.

Here’s a guy who obviously was a product of Italian immigrants. He worked hard to save his money and start a restaurant that would undoubtedly employ other Americans.

The business would also provide tax money to the community. And, it may have even added a bit of quality of life support to this tiny village in northern Wisconsin. Ahhhhhhhh, the American Dream.

Well, Congine’s dream was not only shot down, it came to the ugliest ends on of all days, the 4th of July.

Government officials actually came upon his property and put an exclamation point on his non-receipt of a liquor license by violating his civil liberties.

I love the Independence Day civil liberties massacre irony. On the very day of celebrating our nation’s freedom, poor ol’ Vito was figuratively stuffed into a gulag.

I find this to be the topper…Vito Congine?

The man who invested his sweat, money, and hard work into his dream of owning a supper club, and then dared to fly his American flag upside down? He’s also a veteran of the Iraq War.

Let me tell you all. I don’t LOVE my country. I mean, it’s not like I had any choice as to where I was born, but let me say this…

I respect this country more than any other country on Earth.

The sad thing is, between decades of growing government intervention and regular citizens who can’t mind their own fucking business, this country lacks respect for its citizens.

Well, it lacks respect for its citizens who dare to speak their minds.

Amen, and Amen.

Cheers!!

Damn you Matt-Man! I bookmarked this story today to blog about Monday. Dude, take a weekend off sometime, will ya? LOL

That "creating a disruption" thing is total bullshit. If we arrest everyone who creates a disruption then we have to arrest all the babes wearing bikinis at the lake. Cause they're pretty disrupting to me. ;-)

I agree though. Sending an armed police force onto someone's private property and rip down his protest against the government is just about the most un-American thing I can think of.

Jay: Ha. Sorry. And you're right, the "causing a disruption" thing is TOTAL bullshit. Now tomorrow, I am announcing a boycott of The Weather Channel, so deal with any topics other than that. Cheers Jay!!

Songbird: It is a burden to always have to point out the Un-American activities of others, Songbird. Especially when some find me to be an America Hater. Cheers!!

Candice: Though I walk through the Valley of Whiny Assholes, I shall fear no stupid person...or persons. Cheers Candice!!

Although you and I often disagree on issues, this is one we both strongly believe in.

We may not like what others have to say - or how they say it - but we respect their right to do it!

For the record, "causing a disruption" is what I do best!

Dana: That is exactly why I will post ANY comment that anyone leaves. It's America, Dammit!! Cheers!!

I feel like flying my flag upside down in protest to anyone who is opposed to a healthcare program for this country.

(of course, no one can see my flag but me)
