Sunday Morning Church Disservice: I Really Do Deserve Salvation

It’s a beautiful Sunday in Bagwine, Ohio in spite of the fact that I have to work all day.

It is a bit of a bummer, however…

I ruined yesterday for some one that I love. Oh, I am sure I know how, (sorta) but the reasons still perplex me. It doesn’t seem justified.

I want to apologize, but I find myself at a loss. Anyway, to that person, I am unhappy that you are angry, but knowing you and what we have been through…I say the following…

Unable to find a reason to apologize…I will say this to you…

I love you. I am sorry. But from this day forward; Hold yourself up to the same elusive standard that you have placed upon me.

Amen, and Amen…

Now that I have that out of my system…The Bagwine Ruminations Comment of the Week.

This week the comment is the following:

“Hey, the chick flipping her hair on your sidebar is completely irritating.”

Not all that funny, however quite true if you have seen the ad. But here’s the thing…

Desert Rat, who made the comment, has had a BODY (Mmmm, I said body) of work over time that is always insightful, smart, and humorous.

I like that…a lot.

Smart, funny chicks turn me on. (Do you hear me Dianne!!?)

And so, with that, and because of that, Desert Rat gets the COW…or is that all?

I went to her site yesterday, and saw a video that she did. It is of her singing our National Anthem. For me, it sealed the deal.

Although, she will probably kill me, here it is…please watch the short video…

And when you're done, please go say Hi by clicking HERE....

And now, as promised…here’s my trip to the Drive-Thru. I hope you enjoy, because that is where I’ll be all day.

Cheers!!

If you get a chance, listen to Turnbaby's Blog Talk Radio Show tonight at 8 EDT.

Roseanne's got nothing on Desert Rat. In fact she may be the best thing about your site.

Thanks for the tour.

Jeff: In fact, Jeff, today she is. Cheers my good man!!

What? You mean there's actually something NEW in Bagwine?

Think you bought enough brew? Geez, that is a drive-thru WAREHOUSE!

$4.01 for a gallon of gas? That's a still, asshat. It's $4.27 here.

You know what scares me the most? You behind the wheel with a video camera going. That's worse than driving with a cell phone to your ear.

Bye, Bill!

Yay Desert Rat! Great rendition of everyone's fave song. Unless you're a terrorist. Congrats on the COW too.

Matt, the drivethru was a lot of fun. Pretty interesting how it takes less than 9 minutes to get beer in your town.

CONGRATULATIONS Desert Rat! Anyone who has the "cyber" gonads to sing the National Anthem on your blog (although she likely didn't know) deserves that C.O.W.

Oh, and Matt-Man, I thought you liked it when Schmoop blew down!

We used to have one of those drive-thru things here but it closed. That seems like a fabulous job though. But I'd get fired for sampling the goods :-)

Additionally the fact that your gas is over $4 further proves the south is greater than the north. My city is sitting at $3.83 and holding.

How conveinent to drive right in the building and not even get out of the car. That is lazy man beer buying at its best!

I hear ya Matt-Man!! And I love ya!

Congrats to Desert Rat. Her video was great. I'll be sure to go tell her.

What's all the stuff hanging and bouncing around? - ON the rear view mirror! Get your mind out of the gutter.

Tell Bill I thought he (and his big birds) was pretty cool.

And last, but not least, I love it when you make a wide turn with your huge vehicle and expertly place into tight spots.

Just sayin'

Songbird: Yep...We are going to have one new, sweet looking hospital. Cheers!!

Winter: Nine minutes to beer...I am blessed. Cheers!!

Dana: No kiddin'. It ain't an easy tune to sing. Cheers Dana!!

Schmoop said...

Lady Jaye: It's hard but I do control my sampling urges. ; ) Cheers LJ!!

Micky: We are on the cutting edge here in Bagwine. Cheers Mick!!

Dianne: I'll tell Bill just that, and yes, I handle my "vehicle" with the precision of a Formula One DRIVER. Cheers Di!! Now, off to work soon!!

Nine minutes is not bad time to make a beer run.

Show more Bill. I like freaks who have more than one bird.

Sorry there is a little trouble in Bagwine Land. I'm sure it will all be worked out quickly.

Awesome job Desert Rat! That is showing some love for your country if I have ever seen it.

Someone brings your beer to your car? Man, I have to walk to a store and carry it back to my apartment. You are spoiled!

My favorite part of the video:

So what do you do on your website?

I make fun of everybody.

That's what makes the Matt-Man. *smooches*

It felt just like I was there. Somehow the idea of buying alchohol without getting out of your car just seems wrong. But then again, my drug of choice is French Fries and I'm headed to Micky Dees right now so I guess I ain't got room for stone throwing.

Liz Hill said...

Well sugar seems like my show is pretty damn timely. Thanks as ever for pimping it.

I was thinking the same thing as Turnbaby...

I'm not sure I understand drive-through alcohol stores.

First, I am so sorry about yesterday. It sucks when you hurt someone you love. I've done this, too and it feels like crap. I hope things are better for you today.

Second, OMG! I cannot beLIEVE you posted by video (ack!). My ghast is completely flabbered! (I am definitely no Desert Songbird!) Thank you to all your readers for their kind comments - I hope there are no long-lasting ill-effects.

Lastly, "I got the COW! I got the COW! Whoop whoop whoop!"

Schmoop said...

Sorry I have not gotten back to all individually, but I had to work tonight. Thanks for the comments.

And for as far as you, Rat, you are more than deserving and your singing was just dandy. Cheers!!

Oh, and I very much enjoyed the tour to the liquor store! That was an impressive quantity of beer - do you get an employee discount?

Schmoop said...

Desert Rat: Although the owner is a helluva nice guy, he wouldn't give a discount to Christ if he came riding through on a donkey. Cheers!!

Travis Cody said...

I'm sorry for your situation, but I respect what you said.

I hope tomorrow it gets better.

Schmoop said...

Travis: Everything is just ducky again in Bagwine Land. Thanks, and Cheers!!

Are you allowed to get out of the car and shop for your favorite distiled chocolate milk?
Kinda just seem like a liquor store with really big doors for handicap access;)

Tug said...

I hope all is working out with your friend...

DR did an AWESOME job on the National Anthem!! Congrats to her on the COW as well.

Matt...you could SO do rollerskates there! If the steps don't kill ya', they'll just make you stronger. ;-)

Schmoop said...

Al: Ha that was very good description. Cheers Al!!

Tug: All is well. As for the skating, I don't think so. I have always had a problem stopping. Cheers!!

Kimmie said...

Bravo!!! Desert Rat sings very pretty! Congratulations to her on her Cow Award also! You did good on your choice! :-)

The video was great, it looks like a fun place to work.

Thanks for sharing.

Love the video's! They say alcohol sales are up alot with todays economy. People are staying home and self medicating to take their minds off of everything! Idaho is 8% higher than the the entire 2007. Since this is a sale controlled by the government; I'm sure their numbers are accurate.

Schmoop said...

Kimmie: Thanks and yes, she sings pretty well. Cheers!!

Michelle: Thanks, and I self-mediacte often. Even more so, if I lived in Idaho. Cheers!!
