Conservative Christian, Mom to the Masses, Sarah Palin, Johnny Mac's Veep Pick, is evidently lacking in the skills to keep her 17 year old daughter's legs closed.
Bristol is pregnant.
How nice...How sweet...
Good ol' sexy, big chested Bristol, got rode like the race track of the same name in Tennessee.
She's keeping the baby, which is sweet. Underage sex for Christ. Demonstrate your love for the unborn by getting pregnant at 17.
Here's to ya Bristol...Here's to you Miss Runner-Up Miss Alaska...
Hey Mom, I am sure that you didn't know this prior to McCain picking you. Boy Sarah, you did put asperations over disclosure.
The McCain campaign is saying that they knew...Um, I don't think so.
Hey Palin, those morals that you instill in your kids are shining through, and so is your selfishness.Cheers!!

I wonder if, along with having a four month old baby with Down Syndrome, and now having a 17 year old daughter knocked-up, maybe the best thing for Sarah Palin would be to put her family ahead of her political ambitions.
This is just ridiculous.
And I love how they released the news of the girls pregnancy just as Hurricane Gustov makes landfall. So none of the cable channels will be talking about it.
Jay: Now don't be cynical...Bristol is keeping the baby, just as GAWD and the Little Baby Jeebus would have intended.
What a fricking, "I don't care if I don't disclose everything as long as I get to the top" puke this Palin chick is. Cheers!!
Please....there were rumors of this all weekend. And even that the youngest child was actually birthed by Bristol and the Palins are passing it off as Sarah's.
Stupid rumors.
Karen: The 17 year old IS pregnant. Cheers!!
I'm feeling the levee is about to break. Run for your lives!!!!!
hey Bagwines
You old Holier than thou Dicjhead
You know ... well ... you know!
It happens to the best of us. We instill values in our children - we do the best we can - and still they (and we) make mistakes.
*shrugs* I don't know Matt-Man, I think this makes her more "human" - someone we can identify with.
Your "judgment" - or at least my perception of it - surprises me!
Micky: I hope so. The McCain Flood of 2008. Cheers!!
Evil: THAT is the perfect comment. Cheers!!
Mr. Pineapples: Holier than thou? I never said that I was shocked ot offended by it. I just don't put myself out there to be held up as a "compelling story". Anyway, aren't you British or something? Cheerio!!
Dana: Makes her more human? That sounds like an RNC talking point, or something a Ditto Head would say.
I am not making any judgment whatsoever or the kid getting knocked up. I couldn't care less.
I am making a judgment on McCain's lack of investigation into the life of his VP pick, and Sarah Palin herself.
The McCain camp say they knew, but I bet they didn't, and this "compelling working mom" didn't tell them in order to advance her career.
Cheers!!
Hey! Don't be calling a trained killer a "ditto head!"
I don't buy it Matt ... like this is something that would be missed?? Like she thought no one would notice before the elections?? Or no one was smart enough to dig deep?
I know ... I know ... it's all a conspiracy. I don't buy it with the Obama campaign and I don't buy it now either.
And just what would make you say, "and this 'compelling working mom' didn't tell them in order to advance her career"? I mean seriously? I have to wonder if this comes from a assumptions about women in politics (generally), working mothers (generally) or if you have some history with Sarah Palin that you are not sharing with us *wink*
Hey Bagwinder
Aint you that bloke from REM?
Yes it's you! I know who you are...and P can now understand why you write all this bollocks.
Yup P is British.
The Greatest Nation know to mankind. If we had the demographics of the USA we would have won every bloody GOLD in the Olympics.
Apart from Baseball that is.
What a totally krap game that is.
Only kidding
Baseball is loved by every 6 year old primary school girl in the UK.
We cant totally knock it
Sir! As much as I deplore (and fear) the right wing, I must protest! Morality, no matter how much most right-wing, evangelical, neo-fascist, fundamentalist pseudo-Christians may proclaim it, is not primarily about sexuality. It is primarily about justice and all that that implies.
And, to be perfectly honest and just, I must remind everyone that if our seventeen-year-old mothers had “kept their legs together” quite a few of us would not exist today.
[Sorry I ain’t been around more; recently I have been nursing my computer and the cat who owns me].
Hope youse guys are having a grand Labor Day!
Hey Matt-Man! Long time, no comment from me, though I do read your posts all the time!
I've been feeling a great sense of schadenfreude today, as is expected from a good, holier-than-thou agnostic Democrat like myself. I know I'm evil, which is why I'm allowed to laugh at McCain's attempt to lie about knowing about this before-hand. Yes, McCain, we know you properly vetted your VP pic, and this pregnancy stuff, along with that whole silly investigation into Palin's abuse of power is all going to blow over soon! Now back to discussing how hot Sarah is, right?
Oh, that's priceless! "Here's your sign!"
Dana: It is quite possible to hide the pregnancy. Sarah Palin hid her last one for seven months.
What I am saying is yes, that she kept this under wraps in order to not upset her chances to be picked.
As for the "compelling story of a woeking woman" part, I am making fun of what the press and McCain has been saying about her. Her story is not all that compelling and she isn't who she is being portrayed to be. Cheers!!
Mr. Pineapples: If I was that bloke from REM, I could afford to pay somebody to write this bollocks for me.
The UK? Greatest Nation known to mankind?
We beat you guys up over the price of tea, and saved your ass twice from the krauts. Silly, cricket playing, Pineapple Man. Cheers!!
I think this story coming out today is especially important because it's "labor" day
-Doc
Nick: Pardon my hyperbole but my point was all about deception and phoniness on Palin's part and lack of judgment on McCain's. Her daughter's morals are really of no concern to me.
I hope your computer is feeling much better. Cheers!!
Laura: Hey There!! I do miss your amusing comments, and I am remiss in going to your site. Yeah, I hate allowing myself to be involved in schadenfreude, but I detest McCain, and he makes it fun. I hope all is well. Cheers!!
Desert Rat: Isn't it though? What a frickin' shame. Thanks for for your comment below. Cheers Rat!!
Doc: Bada Bing!! Good One, Doc. Cheers!!
My dear Matt-Man; you require no pardoning from me or anyone concerning your hyperbole—and anything else you say or write. After all, freedom of speech and freedom in all non-invasive activities in which we as individuals participate is exactly what the political and pseudo-religious ring-wing seeks to take from us.
The purpose of mymy sermonette was to beg that we seekers of justice, peace, and freedom need not join in persecuting a child and the child in the child’s womb for the mendacity and perfidiousness of her parent.
In other words:
Who gives a flying fuck if the kid is knocked up or not. It’s her mother
who is the deceitful and devious one!
As for the health of my computer, after weeks of nursing it to what I thought was good health, it is getting ill again and I am royally pissed off.
Blessings, my friend! Let us, in solidarity, keep pushing the mutha fuckers up against the wall!
Nick: My good man...That was exactly my point, I don't care if the kid is knocked up.
My point was exactly what you said, that the mother is being deceitful. And I am all with ya on pushing back at the mutha fuckahs.
Better luck with the computer I wish for you. Cheers Nick!!
So, is the Republican/Repugnant Party still touting themselves as the "family values" party? 'Cuz, yeah, I know teenagers make mistakes, but, um...I'm with you, Matt. Maybe if the Governor of the Great State of Alaska had paid more attention to the state of affairs at home a bit more, perhaps her daughter would have felt more compelled to confide in her mother about decision to take such risks.
Songbird: I hear ya. And no, I am not commenting really upon her pregnancy, really. It's all about people making themnselves out to be something they obviously aren't. Cheers!!
sons and daughters of many many presidents have pulled all kinds of stunts and gotten in all kinds of trouble. How come no one ever blames the dad?
I'm fairly certain the mccain machine knew before the announcement... most of the kids friends knew....
I liked that Obama pointed out that HIS mother was 18 when he was born.
Think of the kid who is the father...first you get the governor's daughter pregnant. And then...there she is on a stage behind her mom getting ready to be first daughter.
and why are you so angry?
Kat: Pffffffft. I'm not angry. I merely loathe Johnny Mac.
I don't think not going after Dad (or male brother) is the case. The Bush twins antics were always tied to Dubya. Carter and Clinton both got hit by jokes about their brothers.
My reason for not mentioning Bristol's dad is that he isn't the one running for VP. If he was, the title of this post would have had his name in it rather than Sarah's. Cheers!!
Par for the course. A supre righ winger and her kid goes and gets knocked up. Horray for the fools in the world!
Mike: Exactly. I have no problem with it, it could happen with my kid, but I don't profess to be some Christian, Pro-Family (whatever the hell that means) right wing nut. Cheers!!
Oh I think they picked her BECAUSE her daughter is knocked up. Plays to the evangelical crowd. It also tells me that in this woman's mind it is ok to subject her daughter to public scrutiny for the great good of The Cause. Which disgust me. Shit happens, kids get pregnant way too you...heck Obama's mama was 18. That is not so much the point I take from this. It is that this bitch has such little maternal instinct in her that she will subject her kid to this KNOWING she and her daughter are being used as a talking/selling point. Sorry, she's a cunt in my book.
Starr: Well put. You used the c-word...I'm telling the PC Police.
I'm just hoping the truth comes out that the baby actually belongs to L. Ron Hubbard and the daughter has all sorts of ghosts.
I'm just trying to lighten things up. It got intense over here.
It's unfair to unwittingly suck me in to your post by using the name of my blog in your title. *wink*
As for the whole thing, I didn't know this woman existed until last week, and I couldn't care less about her down syndrome baby or knocked up daughter. What I care about is the obvious insult to all thinking women. Whooooo! I'm Johnny Mac! I'm in sync with America! You all like women in places of power? Here you go, a pretty little number you can call a "real woman."
The pregnancy is just frosting the cake early, makes her even more of "real woman" to identify with. She's a mommy! She struggles! She still holds firm to God's will! We should all look up to her, and vote for Johnny Mac!
Frankly, both candidates give me the willies. I say we should all vote for someone who's never even thought about the presidency. Start looking at politician stats the same way we look at baseball stats. We could trade between political parties, track voting records, etc.
I think that sort of system would be a lot more fun! It might more accurately reflect what a politician would actually do in office, as well. I'm talking out of my ass now, so I'll bid a fond adieu. Later Matty! *smooch*
Wow Matt! You've got everyone all riled up again! Good job!!!
When my kids were teenagers I tried to teach them to obstain and wait because they don't think straight at that age! But also knowing how they think and how peer pressure is. I taught them about safe protected sex just in case they didn't listed to what their dear Mother was trying to pound in their heads! It's not having sex that shocks me. Its that they're doing it unprotected!! It's not her Mothers fault.. Its the teenage boy and his raging hormones that convinced her to do it in the first place. She probably didn't even want to.. but she'll never tell him that! She thinks he loves her! I agree with Nick.. most of us probably wouldn't be here if our Mothers didn't have sex as teenagers. My Mama was 17 when she had me...
Knight: Good One. She could make Tom Cruise the Godfather. Cheers Knight!!
Boo: Ha. I thought of you when I typed that title. And I don't really give a hoot if she gets preganant 20 times. It's as you mentioned, the hey, Vote for Me, I have a Woman VP. Ick. Cheers Boo!!
Michelle: I may have been misunderstood. The point I was trying to make was about hypocrisy and the lack of investigation, in my opinion by the McCain camp. But getting folks riled up is alot of fun. Cheers!!

Ah...but Bagwinder - re your comments on the Brits.
We were the ones who stood up to the Krouts - when the rest of the world wanted an easy life...dont forget that. And yes the USA helped us out.
But being bigger aint the same as being better.
Apart from the hotdog and hamburger P is trying to think what the Good ole USA has contributed to the world.
We might be small - but by gawd havent we punched above our weight?
yes sirreeee..
.Inventors of the English language – the language of the World;
· The Industrial Revolution – started with us
· The Home of Parliamentary Democracy;
· The greatest modern musicians, poets, writers, actors – a nation of artists;
· The creators of Chicken Tikka Massala and Curry
· The inventors of the telephone, television, penicillin, the world wide web etc.. etc.. etc..this list would go on and on…
· The most impressive Empire known to man – and we gave it all up – because of our inbuilt humanity;
· The Rule of Law and The Common Law – the Mother and Father of legal systems – copied by many (The USA) but bettered by none.
See what I mean?
Course you do.
down boy, down.
Anonymous: Ha. That's kinda funny. Cheers!!
Mr. Pineapples: Well I guess you did open up a can of woop ass on those mighty Argentines in the Falklands in '82. (Sorry 'bout the Exocet hit on one of your ships.)
Yes, the hot dog and hamburger are good, but you left out SPAM and Wild Irish Rose.
Bangers and Mash, and warm beer pale in comparison.
As for the English language originatng in Britain...That's fine but we have spent the last centuries correcting your spelling. I mean, c'mon, gaol?
It's jail!! Cheers!!
Vodka Mom: Ha. Did you know that in High School I was voted Most Likely to Over Act? Cheers VM!!
Hey Baggie
I think you will discover that we say "jail" - unless of course you are using "Treasure Island" as your reference point (we have moved on a little bit since then).
As for Spam - well that is excellent stuff - I am sure we invented that....didnt we?
The national food of the UK is curry and NOT bleedin' mashed potato.
Amen
P has spoken
Mr. Pineapples: You strike me as quite the jocular man. Maybe we can collaborate sometime and do something that will offend both British and American sensibilities.
One thing I am very grateful for the Brits giving the world is Benny Hill.
Cheers!!
Hmmm. I'm kind of conflicted over this one. I'm so fed up with all the political crap that I'm even considering not voting. Or doing a write-in.
I guess my one true feeling is that perhaps Ms. Palin should focus more on her family and less on politics for the time being. Obviously something is remis for her 17 year old to be pregnant. It's not like its that hard to prevent.
Apple: Yeah, I'm not one to judge and my post isn't really about Bristol. I don't have any feelings as to her preganancy.
It was just one more way to bash the McCain campaign, but I think there more than a few people who feel the way you do. Cheers Apple!!
