It Doesn't Matter

Maybe I laid on the bed too long

Maybe I lay, lie, or lain on or in the bed, too long.

Maybe I should have said, “I love you.”

And…

I did.

It didn’t matter.

And sometimes, and far too often…

It doesn’t matter.

Cheers!!

Absolutly nothing matters. Now, get up and get going. You've got stuff to do today.

I don’t know why people say ‘lay in bed.’ You don’t lie in bed, the bed doesn’t fold you up in itself like a sandwich, you lie on the bed.

And whether it is originally apparent or not… it always matters.

Jeff: Ha. I love you man. Cheers Jeff!!

Mike: I really don't have much to do today. I only work 5-9 today. Maybe I'll doodle. Cheers Mike!!

Scott: I ALWAYS lie in bed. I lie all the time. I guess I lie more before getting in bed. The lying is what emables me to get a chick into bed. Cheers Scott!!

Phfrankie: Ha...I wrote a song long ago that included a mention of him. The chorus line was:

"I've got PhD in TV. With an RCA and a VHS."

Cheers P-Man!!

Sometimes one has to lie so he can get laid on the bed.

Or the couch

Or the table

Or the backseat of his car

And I don't really know what matters anymore.

Jay: We've done the couch and backseat of the car...but we haven't done the table. Maybe we'll work on that. Cheers Jay!!

It all matters even though sometimes it feels like it doesn't.

Chick: I know that and would never think otherwise. Cheers Hot Stuff!!

I'm working on figuring out what *does* matter. It's all the same in the end, I think, but at present, confusion reins.

I don't think it's *ever* a bad idea to say, "I love you," though. I know that matters.

Rat: What matters? As Curly said in City Slickers, "It's one thing." I wuvvvv ooouuuu. Cheers Rat!!

If only it were that simple.

Schmoop said...

Rat: I didn't say it was simple. Each of us just have to figure out what that one thing is. It's different for all of us. Cheers Rat!!

Sometimes, though, it's more than one thing.

Rat: I think there is always a root love and cause that we live for. I think that is what makes up our soul. Cheers Rat!!
