On Sunday, I made Five Bean Chili. It...is...fan-damn-tastic.
In additon to various spices and peppers, I use a couple of cans of tomatoes and of course five different beans...
I brown up a pound of sausage and a pound of ground beef...Schmoop laughed when she saw these two phallic logs of meaty love in the skillet...
She was kind enough to get me a beer as I cooked provided that I didn't take a picture of her. Oh well...
Anyhoo...After all the goodness slow cooks in a crockpot for a few hours, it is ready...
Of course, I made some green onion cornbread to accompany the luscious, legume stew...
The results were thumbs up from the Schmoop...
More importantly she gave me and the meal a bottoms up as well...But, it could have just been a result of the gas from the beans...
And on Monday? You know what Monday is at the Beer Mine. Its when our wonderful Mexican ice delivery guy Luis shows up bearing bags of frozen agua...
As always, he backed his truck up to our ice chest...
And now for this week's edition of our Moment of Mexican Merriment with Luis, as he unknowingly drove away from our lot with the following sign plastered to the back of his truck...
