A Week of Birthdays, Bagwine, and Buddies

What a wacky week this is turning out to be.

First, I managed to get Thursday, Friday, and Saturday off. That’s right…three, count em’…THREE consecutive days off.

My mind, soul, and wanker are dripping with anticipatory glee. My liver is cringing with anticipatory dread.

Oh yeah, it’s gonna get a titanic workout over those seventy-two hours of Caligula-like debauchery. Boo Yah!!

Friday, my son, Ryno, will be marking his 14th birthday. We aren’t doing anything on that day specifically.

However, his mom’s family is having a party for him on Saturday, and I am taking him to the movies earlier in the day Saturday.

What are him and I going to see? Well my sweet, charming, sarcastic 14 year old boy wants to see…

Oliver Stone’s, “W”.

Me, my son, Dubya, and a big ol’ bucket of buttery popcorn…it should be a gas.

But really…You are probably thinking, “Okay, a movie and probably a couple of birthday presents given to the little shit; is that really wacky, Matt-Man?”

My Bagwine buddies, let me tell you. The wackiness comes a couple of days prior to our cinematic natal celebration.

Thursday morning I am going to get up early. I’m going to drink a pot of coffee, shower, shave, and actually put pants on.

Why, you ask? Let me tell ya.

Prior to my cock crowing Thursday morning, a man from the Volunteer State is going to hop in a car, leave his palatial estate and begin motoring north by northwest.

With his newly repaired shoulder helping to steer the way, he will drive for a few hours towards the Mad River Valley…destination?

Bagwine, Ohio.

That’s right kids. Bagwine’s favorite sailor, Micky-T, is coming to visit our fine hamlet Thursday.

Mick, (or as the cool, rap happy kids call him, Mix-Master Mick and his Travelin’ Funk Show) and I are going to kick it on the streets of Bagwine.

As soon as I found out that he was coming here, I got goosebumps…or hives…or maybe it was scabies. No matter what it was, I’ll have it checked out prior to his arrival.

It should be a good time full of Wild Irish Rose and Loosemeat sandwiches.

I’m sure there will be pictures of the event as well as more than a few feet of security camera videotape which I can You Tube for you all later.

So there you have it folks…A week of Matt-Man, Mick, and Ryno.

If you have a heart, you’ll wish us well, and pray for Schmoop’s sanity.

Cheers!!

Hey, if you've never had scabies....let me tell you about the time I rode in a semi with my girlfriend from Truckee CA to Massachusetts, after three days we started itching like a.....I'll tell you when I get there.

Schmoop said...

Micky: Are sure it wasn't a case of crabs? Cheers Mick, the Bagwine is chillin'!!

Ken said...

Sorry, I'm "sure" it was a case of scabies. The hospital staff freaked out, there hadn't been a case since the 30's.
Hold onto your hat Matt, I could be leaving you a "seven year itch"

Dana said...

Well Damn! It looks like Micky will be the first one to get that wet, sloppy kiss I've been waiting for!

Schmoop said...

Micky: Good thing the Orkin Man is coming by tomorrow. Cheers!!

Dana: I have put several aside for you that are being kept in a Mason Jar. Anyway, when I respond to Mick's comment I don't lick my my monitor like I do when I answer you. Cheers!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RYNO!!!!!!!!!

Schmoop, want to head south for some sanity?

Schmoop said...

Lu: Ha. Hey Lu, hop a Greyhound and head on down. Loosemeat for All. Cheers!!

Bond: We may change the world Vin. And Ryno will be 14 that means when he was born, I was 29...Ah, how bittersweet. I'm sure Schmoop will take your offer under advisement. Cheers!!

Vinny "Bond" Marini said...

And I am pretty sure your sarcasm on that other blog will be missed...I loved it however.

Schmoop said...

Bond: Ha. Oh, there's more to come on that blog between now and Election Day. I just can't help myself. Cheers Vin!!

Desert Songbird said...

Heh. First I thought you were referring to Vinny when you said Volunteer State. THAT would have been one for the ages.

Happy Birthday to your son. The fact that he chose W says a lot about him...and his genetic ties to you!

Schmoop said...

Songbird: If Vinny and I ever get together we will be making any future posts from jail.

As for Ryno...He finds W amusing. And while he's no Frank Caliendo, he does a pretty good impersonation of Prez 43. Cheers!!

Liz Hill said...

Wow--14----doesn't that make you feel a little old sugar*wicked grin*

I'll be watching out for the inevitable shock wave across the Ohio River Valley when you and Micky hit the town.

Schmoop said...

TB: Watch it missy. Any further age jokes and Mick and I will make a road trip to Kin-Tucky and beat you senseless. Just don't sue us when we're done. Cheers Hot Stuff!!

Real Live Lesbian said...

Happy Birthday to the Ryno!

As for you and Micky-T, you two boys have a big ol' time! Take lots of pics and go easy on the hookers!

Meg said...

Are fellow Ohio bloggers allowed to join in the Mickyathon fun?

Happy Birthday to Ryno!

Schmoop said...

RLL: Thanks for the B-Day wishes. As for Mick and I, we are simply going to light a candle and take turns reciting Bible passages. No, really. Cheers!!

Fantasy: Hey, I like the new pic. And you merely need to drive straight down I-75 and make left on I-70 and you are damn near here. By the way, stay on my forgetful ass, I keep meaning to link you. Cheers!!

Ken said...

Hey Matt I was hoping we could recite poetry too. I got some good stuff from "Service"

When Chewed-ear Jenkins got hitched up to Guinneyveer McGee,
His flowing locks, ye recollect, wuz frivolous an' free;
But in old Hymen's jack-pot, it's a most amazin' thing,
Them flowin' locks jest disappeared like snow-balls in the Spring;
Jest seemed to wilt an' fade away like dead leaves in the Fall,
An' left old Chewed-ear balder than a white-washed cannon ball.

It is OK, I did not use the bail money Songbird has while in Vegas, so she has the money to bail ONE of us out! LOL

You are going to make my 'friends' head explode!

Schmoop said...

Bond: Ha...Keep the money close should we need it someday.

As for the other? It's either fun to me, or I have an over developed longing to be loathed. Cheers Vin!!

....Wild Irish Rose and Loose-Mic...I mean Matt-meat... I mean Loose Mic-Matt-wiches...Let the games begin!...

Jay said...

Don't you think it would be a great idea if county jails allowed people to pre-pay bail? You could have an account with them, just like paypal and when you and Micky get thrown in the drunk tank you will already have bail covered and when you sober up you could just leave. That would be sweet. ;-)

Schmoop said...

Phfrankie: Don't worry...I will make sure that Schmoop takes notes of all his indicrections. I will forward them to you. Let the games begin, indeed. Cheers!!

Jay: Ha. That may be your best idea, evah. We could call it "BailPal". You my good man, are a frickin' genius. Cheers!!

Cinnamon Girl said...

I think Jay is a genius.

Schmoop said...

Starr: In a word, the man is, "Brilliant". Cheers Starr!!

Tiggerlane said...

OMG...to be a fly on the wall...or in your beer.

You better have photos AND video AND valium for Schmoop.

Desert Songbird said...

BailPal! What a crack up! You and Jay are in high form today.

Schmoop said...

Tigger: Oh there will be a pictorial. Speaking of which, can we see your "near perfect breasts"? Cheers Tigger!!

Songbird: Ha. I chuckled myself at that. Cheers Dear!!

katherine. said...

actually this bailpal thing has merit...if all of your readers donated just a couple dollars....

Ryno turns 14. *shakes head and wonders where all the time went* I hope the kid has a rockin birthday. I remember my own 14th year well. It's when I got laid for the first time. Hey-OH! :)

Schmoop said...

Kat: I think Jay is on to something. I hope you and the Teamster exploited each other Seven ways to Sunday over the weekend. Cheers Kat!!

Allie: I should have been there for that event...Of course a 29 year old present at your deflowering would have been a bit disturbing. Cheers!!

Vinny "Bond" Marini said...

JAY: What a concept!!!!

Schmoop said...

Bond: He's a magic man. Cheers!!

Schmoop said...

Evil: I am right across the street from the hospital, which is cool, cuz I dig nurses. Cheers!!

Well, I just cannot WAIT to hear about you and Mick on Thurs! Sounds like a fun time.

Also, Happy B-day to Ryno! Fourteen was a great age! Does that mean he'll be in HS next year? Dude, you're getting old.

Cinnamon Girl said...

S'ok Matt you ain't old. If you are old then I am old cause Kidlet's birthday is all of 5 weeks after Ryno's. We are not old. We are vintage.

Schmoop said...

Apple: Should be a good time, and yes, Ryno will be a Freshman next year. Egads. Cheers Apple!!

Starr: Ahhh yesss. Vintage, just like a month old bottle of Wild Irish Rose. Cheers!!
