Sunday Morning Church Disservice: Praise Be to the Pictures

It is a glorious last day of May and Sabbath in Bagwine, Ohio.

I must get ready for a full day of work at the Beer Mine from 11-7 today.

And then after work, I'm off to see Ryno and console him over the loss of Cleveland Cavaliers to the Orlando Magic. Poor Fella.

Actually, I don't think he's too upset, because he's on cloud nine due to the fact that this Thursday is his last day of school.

Anyhoo...Today's service is mainly just a few pictures that I took yesterday.

The majority is a pictoral look at the house that I refer to once in awhile. The house that I USED to own.

And the house where Ryno still lives with his Mom, and in which I am merely a regular visitor. Enjoy...

This is a shot of what is adjacent to the small front porch...I hate that concrete basket, and it has yet to be mulched yet this spring, but not bad...

This is the look as to what one would see upon pulling into the driveway...

And another similar view...

This is a shot that looks at the southwest corner of the house...

This shot is for Dana. She posted about Red Maple Trees awhile back. I mentioned that they look great between Spruce Trees...I planted this one for the neighbor across the street years ago...

Ahhhhhh. Two Huge Ass Pine Trees guard either side of the driveway to
Casa de la Used to be Matt's!!

This "natural" scene was created by me as well, and leads to the backyard. The wispy looking tree towards the left is a Fernleaf Buckthorn. I so dig it.

This is a picture of the wildlife that exists on the estate...The animal, known as the, Ryno Carniverous Continuous is singing along to his iPod.

Lastly...We had a ginormous pizza made by Pizza Bill last night. Holy Cow!! It was good!! Mr. Happy Hand gave it a Thumbs-Up!!

Mmmmmmmm. Green Peppers...Banana Peppers, Pepperoni, Extra Cheese, and Mushrooms, and I managed to correctly burn the edges. Perrrrrrfect!!

What is there left to say about incredibly well made and well done pizza? Only this...

Amen, and Amen!!

Enjoy your Sunday all.

Cheers!!

Your a gardener! Who'da thunk it?

Michele: Oh Baby...I'm one helluva landscaper. I even know most of the scientific names of the plants. I'm a closet horticultural geek. That Red Maple I pictured? I even successfully treated it for a case of anthrocose. Cheers!!

You really did a fabulous job on the yard.(still looks good, you must be helping) It's a beautiful home.
I know you've said, "Oh well" or similar casual remarks about losing that house to the "one who must not be mentioned", a good home for Ryno and such but I got to tell you, I hurt, knowing how much you must miss putsing around the yard(yours), bagwine in hand, making it all pretty and welcoming.

Now the sick joke....don't you have the urge to pretty up your dumpster?

Micky: Ha...I should redesign the trash bin shouldn't I?

The thing is Mick, they yard looked so nice and immaculate because I'd spend 10 hours a day working on it, so I didn't have to go back into the house and listen to what a jerk I was!! Cheers and Thanks, Mick!!

YIPPEE!! When I saw this was a pictorial sabbath, I was hoping you'd remember me. Must have been an angelic intervention!

The red maple/blue spruce really does look gorgeous!

Dana: The contrast is pretty sweet. It looks even better on a hot August morning when there's a haze over it. Cheers!!

...did you get those two pine trees from Rachel Ray's hometown of Hugeass, NY?...

Schmoop said...

Phfrankie: Ha. I can neither confirm nor deny that, as they have been there for years. But, your hypothesis certainly makes sense. Cheers!!

That's a pretty nice looking house and yard. It looks like someone from that show "Curb Appeal" fixed it all up.

I used to watch all those garden and landscaping shows on HGTV back when they showed something other than real estate shows. I've never owned a home, but if I ever do I think I have all the knowledge I need to keep the grounds looking good.

Jay: Why thanks...When we moved into it some 16 years ago, other than the big trees, I yanked everything out and started over. And yeah, I used to watch those shows to, like you said, when they showed them. Cheers Jay!!

Oh, it's so beautiful and green! What a lovely place!

I agree with Micky-T (what the Hell is on his head, anyway?); it makes me sad that you are missing out on puttering in your fabulous yard.

And I've got a secret: playing in a garden is a wonderful way to escape from all sorts of unpleasantness, not just a nasty spouse.

It really is a beautiful yard.
So when Ryno goes away to college do you get the house?

what are banana peppers?

Schmoop said...

Desert Rat: Ha...It's like an Engineer's hat on his head. But yeah, puttering in the garden is always a nice getaway for any reason. Cheers Rat!!

Kat: Thanks. What? Um...no, I think she'll hang around it...or sell it.

What are banana peppers? Oh my, I'll send you some links. Cheers Kat!!
