Sunday Morning Church Disservice: With Friends Like That...

It’s going to be a bee-yoo-tee-ful day in Bagwine, Ohio today.

It’s going to be beautiful, weather wise, temp wise, and Matt can work on his tan at work wise.

But…

I did something last night that I am not comfortable with…I passed on information about a blogger, that was given unto me from another blogger.

I have never done that but felt…

Shit, I really like this chick (the one who the info was about) so I need to let her know the story, true or false, that was relayed to me. And no, not over the internets, so it’s not like I have posted about it.

(And I just re-read this and it sounded effed up. The thing? Some chick told me something about another chick. There ya go.)

I told my friend that. Anyhoo...

I had a conversation with someone and they brought up the habits of someone (her) who I know through the blogsophere. I told this person, while engaging them in a most courteous conversation, that I love the blogger in question.

That fact was glossed over. In fact, it wasn’t even recognized by said person who was attacking the other. Mores the pity.

Anyhoo…

I have always prided myself on being one who allows anything and any comment on this site. And, even if you contact me otherwise, you have free reign. But let me tell ya…

You can attack ME all you want, however if you attack my buddies or commenters for saying or speaking their minds in a thoughtful manner, don’t dick with me. I’ll cut you…

Verbally or otherwise…and while I am quick to forgive, I NEVER forget.

And, to the person who precipitated this diatribe, I give you a quote about friendship that maybe you should remember…

“True friends stab you in the front.” --Oscar Wilde

While I am working today, I hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Cheers!!

"Some chick told me something about another chick."

What is this? Junior High?

Jay: Well, I'll tell ya...This is exactly where this post was going but I shortened it up. I even told Schmoop today, "This is getting like grade school." Cheers!!

You are so enigmatic today. I probably know nothing of the bloggers in question, yet you have me somewhat intrigued - such is the power of your written word.

Cheers

David: Ha...Enigmatic, youuuuu. I have no power, I am merely a court jester. Cheers David!!

I hate these moral dilemmas. I try disparately not to get into them. Good luck with this one.

What a shit position this person put you in, Matt. If you need any help with the cuttin, you have my number ;)

Well, you know I've been there - at least as the subject of said gossip between two other bloggers - and I failed miserably at dealing with it for a long time.

I continue to be AMAZED at the number of folks who will read a blog and feel they know the blogger so well they can confide in them ... or is that spread nasty gossip about them.

I am so unpopular, that I almost never have to deal with this...

Oh I don't know, Dana. I think there are lots of us out there who have read blogs long enough that we confide in each other. I spill my guts to Matt frequently. In fact I just whined to him in an email =)

Everybody gossips, some more than others. But saying nasty things about someone you know the other person likes when you know it will make them uncomfortable is not cool. In fact it's incredibly playground.
