I'm feelin' much better today and will be headed back to work this evening. Hoo-Fucking-Ray!!
I must grudgingly admit, that one of the reasons I am feeling better is that I listened to my boss, Drive-By Mikey and stayed home yesterday. I hate it when he's right.
There is also one other reason that I am feeling better today.
Can you identify the picture below..?
That's right Bagwine readers. That's my couch/bed, Kelly, and that is where I sleep every night.
She is a comfort to me. However, during my illness she could not alone handle my needs of comfort and support.
So, recognizing this, someone else stepped in and filled that void. Who and how you ask? Look at the picture below and I shall 'splain.
The above picture is a shot of the makeshift bed that my BFF/OSP Schmoop constructed Sunday night on the living room floor in front of Kelly.
When I came home in pain Sunday night, Schmoop decided to take eveything off of her bed and turn the floor into her sleeping quarters in case I needed anything during the night.
She had done the same thing when I was in excruciating pain the night before I went into the hospital a couple of weeks ago.
While there are a myriad of grand and fancy things a person can do to show their love for another...
I dig the little things like this. Actions like the makeshift bed are not pre-meditated or contrived. They just happen.
I dig ya Schmoop and thanks.
On a completely unrelated note, I have an announcement.
My ESPN Fantasy Football team, The Jonas Brothers, who compete with the likes of Jay-Man, Dana, and Vin, have taken over sole posession of 1st place in The Open Bar League with a record of 7-3.
Why do I mention this when the season is far from over? Because I have had very little luck this year and I know that my boys can quickly go from being 7-3 to 7-6 in a span of three weeks.
So, while my 1st place position may be temporary, I am going to temporarily enjoy the hell out of it.
Have a Day, and remember, don't mess with a Disney Channel fueled Boy Band when on the gridiron.
Cheers!!

I don't like the feeling I have that your not doing as well as you tell us. It's none of my buisness as what you should do to get healthy, but your lungs are certainly nothing to fuck around with. I think a lot of us would like to hear that you've quit smoking.
That’s so sweet! I love a good sleeping pallet, as we used to call it when we were kids. And a pallet partner such as Schmoop makes it all the more awesome. I’m starting to wonder if I caught something off of you through these interwebs though. 3 weeks I’ve had a ‘cold’ which has pretty much remained the same. Now I wake up today and my left lung hurts like a mother. Just behind my heart area, all the way through to my back. It kills when I bend, cough, turn, or take a deep breath. Sound familiar? I’m serious, is that how it started with you?
I dont think your kitty cat could look any more comfortable if she tried.
"Have a day" I like it. You have a day as well Bud'
Mick: I am doing quite well considering just how truly sick I was. It was much more than a typical case of pneumonia and only myself, Schmoop, and the staff taking care of me know how sick I was.
As for my future health...I weigh a lean, mean 178 pounds. I rediscovered my taste for vegetables while in the hospital and continue to eat them.
I drink far less, and if I now smoke half a pack of Ultra Lights per day as opposed to two packs of Basic Full Flavors and begin walking 3-4 miles a day like I was prior to this mess, I will be the healhiest that I have been in 20 years.
Cheers Mick!!
Scott: Go to the Doctor Scott, while my pain started on the side of my lung, your symptoms sound exactly like mine albeit on the symptoms were on my right side. Tell your wife to get a sleeping pallet ready. Yes, I'm serious. Cheers and Good Luck Scott, and let me know!!
Lu: She looks comfortable there but she was pissed at first because she wasn't consulted about the change. What a fuckin' princess she is. Here's to both of our days. Cheers Pal!!
...I've said it before and I'm sayin' it again: you guys are the Bogie and Bacall of the Internets!...
Awwww ... that just warms my ice-cold heart!
I've learned something new today all thanks to Matt-Man...although I had to go to Urban Dictionary for OSP but now I'm horny and have no OSP available.
Phfrankie: If only we had their money. Anyhoo...Key Largo here we come. Cheers P-Man!!
Dana: Wow...I'm Shocked!! I figured that my team being in first place would irritate you. Cheers Dana!!
David: Really? OSP is in the Urban Dicitonary? I thought Schmoop and I had coined that acronym last month. Damn. Cheers David!!
David: Ha!! I just looked up OSP on Urban Dictionary. I didn't mean that Schmoop is my, "Oral Servie Provider". Our OSP stands for, "Occasional Sex Partner."
I'm glad that I looked that up. Cheers David!!
Hell, Matt-Man, from looking at that pic I though that Schmoop had made that pallet on the floor for the cat, who, I suspect, believed that
same thing.
I'm delighted that you're feeling better, my friend!

did you maybe have this?
Hahahaha! I love that your FFT is named The Jonas Bros. Best name ever!
Nick: Thank you very much my friend. Schmoop had no intetion of making it for Corky, however being the true cat that she is, Corky feels now that it WAS made just for her. Just like everything else in the apartment. Cheers Nick!!
Snugs: Ha. Is that paper the UK version of The Weekly World News?
No, the thing that really fucked me up was a second lung infection that developed by taking advantage of my walking pneumonia.
But thanks, I now have a new site to check out in the future. Cheers Snugs!!
Lady: Ha, I dig it too. I wish I could take credit for picking that "menacing" name, but it was actually Ryno's idea. Cheers to ya Lady!!
Yup, the Jonas Brothers are in first place. Just more proof that clean living and being good Christians has its rewards. ;-)
It's always the little things like making a bed on the floor so she can be near you if you need her that mean the most. Hell, someone just being there makes you feel better, doesn't it?
Jay: Well Duh!! Everyone knows that God and Jeebus play favorites in sporting events. That's why players point to the sky after scoring a TD or hitting a Home Run. Or, as some players go on to say, "I owe this victory to my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ."
And your last line, in all seriousness...Yes it is very nice having someone just being here does make me feel much better. The big thing for me is that unlike my in my earlier adult life, the person who is with me actually loves me. Cheers my friend!!
I was so happy to see you seemed to feel better this morning. It's been a rough journey for you, and I'm glad I can be here to help you thru it. I love you. I'm also glad to see you cutting the smoking down to way less than half of what you did. I just wish I hadn't picked up what you gave up!! Keep up the good work baby!
Schmoop: Thanks baby and I appreciate the hell out of you. I could make a lengthy comment, but in order to prevent others from throwing up on their keyboards due to acute sappiness, for now, I will just say...
You're the best.
Cheers and Zoves!!
I love ya Schmoop, you're a grand broad :)
you both deserve easier days - and comfy nights
love the pussy pic
Dianne: Thanks Di...She is pretty grand and we hope to have sex with each other sometime around Christmas. Ya gotta have goals. Cheers Sexy!!
Oh Matt
I forgot to mention that I love that new pic of you at the top of this post. Is that what you wear to bed, just something you wear to lounge about the apartment, or your new work uniform?
Inquiring minds need to know.
David: That's the priest played by Peter Cook in the Princess Bride. Sheesh. Cheers David!!
Glad you have someone there to take care of yourself - stop the justifying and just quit smoking dude.
I smoke thirty full strength a day.
I drink at least a half litre of vodka (plus beer chasers) a night.
I eat unhealthy food.
I don't give a fuck. I'm happy.
You take care of yourself old bean.
4D
AAAAS YOOOUUUU WIIIISSHHH!
Excellent movie =) And congrats for not being a dumbass and staying home!
You guys are too sweet. It's going through the rough patches that defines a relationship.
I hate to be a harpy but you should both cut down, aka give up, the smokes.
Bond: I'm not justifying anything. I'm just relaying the facts as they are. Cheers Vin!!
Four D: And Bully for You, my good man. Alas, I am not up for that any longer, physically that is. Mentally, oh hell yeah, I'm still up for that. Cheers Four!!
Starr: One of my faves of ALL-TIME. Love it. And see? I'm not always adumbass. Cheers Starr!!
Michele: Well of course I should give them up completely, but I haven't and that's the way it currently stands. Cheers Michele!!
Hey Baby you OK?
...get the frick back here...sir...
Once again, I am disturbed that you used "fantasy" and "Jonas Brothers" in the same sentence.
I will send some gnomes around for counselling. Don't worry...they like you, they'll probably bring along some strippers too...
Awfully quiet.....I don't like the sound of your silence.
You ok old bean? Where you at?
Peeps care yer know
Helloooooooooooo?
You're a lucky man for having Schmoop at your side.
