Ummmmm...What?

Welcome to the weekend kidz!!

I, as I always do, will be manning the Beer Mine from 11 AM today until 7 PM tomorrow evening.

Oh sure, I get to go home tonight at nine until 11 tomorrow, but what am I going home to?

A chick who is incredibly pissed off because she is having her nineteenth period in as many days. I guess I’d be pissed off and more than a bit anemic as well if I was the Schmoop.

So, here’s to Schmoop and her overactive uterus from Hell.

Anyhoo…

Jay and I did our show last night. Yes, surprisingly, I’m With Stupid is still on the air.

It wasn’t our best show but it wasn’t awful…considering we never really got on or stayed on topic.

I could tell by listening to it I was tired and pissed off and I’ve noticed a couple of other things I need to correct.

It’s gonna be hard but I really need to quit laughing so much.

It’s gonna be rough because Jay makes me laugh. In fact, if you think I laugh often on the show, you should hear me during our “show prep” call every Wednesday.

Oy Vay…If only we could record those…

Of course, none of you would like us if we did. Many of you would slap us too, as many of you out there have been audibly lusted over by Jay and I during those calls.

But I am getting off….on a tangent…Much like last night.

I also need to quit saying “ummm”. I know, many people do that, but I do it often and it is something that runs in my family.

No excuse though…I WILL try to limit those “Ummm” moments.

Oddly, as much as I am a big picture, fly by the seat of my pants, I have a streak of perfectionism in me when it comes to certain things, and…

I am not happy with my performances on the show thus far. I write funny shit at times, but on air, m’eh…mediocre at best.

I really need to focus on that. Be funny, but more professional. Think of it as a job in a way.

I guess I am done dumping on you and shall get ready for work.

Anyhoo…Thanks to all of you who listened and called in last night. It’s always fun.

Don’t forget to set your clocks back when you go to bed tonight and please…

If you have some free time this weekend, listen to I’m with Stupid, and you can do so right here:

Look me up at the Beer Mine this weekend…

Cheers!!

Whoa Whoa Whoa there ... Professional? Let's not get carried away.

I think you're doing great. The show is a blast to do and that's the most important thing. If it's more like a job it becomes more of a burden. I think we're doing just fine.

Jay: No worries. I'm talking about my attitude toward the show; not getting all dour and what not. Cheers and Thanks Jay!!

I have to say that I am enjoying the show FAR MORE now that the sound quality is consistent with the two of you.

I thought the show was one of your better ones *shrugs*

Maybe I'm just not a good judge of funny ...

How's the new 'Time Slot' working out? Haven't been able to listen since the change...

I can't listen live any more as I have to watch Bill Mahar. Of course last night he had Bill O'R and by the time I tried to get ya'all on the computer, Bill'O had left!

SIGH!

“Ummm” moments could be the new drinking game!

Oh, and I forgot to ask, how come you guys didn't let me talk on BTR last night?

Despite the best of intentions (and I'ma going to Hell fer shure), I was unable to listen "live" as I was hosting our semi-annual Blocktoberfest! (That's our Block Watch meeting, which is well-attended because I have lots and lots of alcohol which is the secret to a successful Block Watch meeting - "Let's Kick Crime's Ass! Yeah! Here, have a glass of Pinot..."). Anyhoodle, Blocktoberfest is such a kick in the pants that people hung out until, like, midnight...

But, hey, Dearheart! Don't be so hard on yourself and do not let perfectionism get in the way of having fun. Do what you love and don't overthink it or you'll come across as pained and fakey. You guys are funny and I love ya!

Dana: Yes. The sound is really good now and I am happy about that. Like I said it wasn't awful, but I must make improvements. Cheers Dana!!

Chris: Not sure. It's only been a couple of shows so we'll be able to tell more soon. Cheers CC!!
