I Got Nothin'

Nothing, nada, nil. My mind is empty…a tabula rasa. A dry well.

Of course it has been hopping here at Bagwine Ruminations this week, so maybe I have spent all of my excitement for today.

I could speak about going to see Ryno this morning, but eh. I think he and I are just going to hang out.

I think my little man and I will venture to Best Buy. I have a gift card and I need a new radio.

I am looking for a plain, simple AM/FM radio…no CD or tape player. Just a nice, little, flip the switch radio.

Why do I feel that all of their radios will have a bunch of crap that I don’t need? You know, things like Bass Boost, TV Band…a tiny microwave oven.

On our way home I’ll probably take Ryno through his favorite burger joint, Rally’s, for a burger and fries.

This post is getting more exciting by the second, isn’t it?

After I drop him off, I’ll come back home and proceed to have several cocktails with Schmoop and her brother, David.

We’ll sit around and goof on people while watching a baseball game with the sound down. Oh yeah, am I lightin’ your fire now, people?

Zzzzzzz. I did have a good night at work Friday night. Which of course means I have no stories to tell about any slugnutties that came through.

In fact, a regular of ours came through the beer mine and gave me a Whopper Jr. That was nice of him and it was pretty good.

Still…nothing you really were dying to know, is it? Nope.

Oh, I got an email yesterday from my ol’ buddy Sherri. In case you didn’t know, she’s a nurse.

She was reading my site and saw the picture of my legs.

She said that they’re like shiny toothpicks and that there’s no hair on the lower portion.

She said that I probably have a circulatory problem due to my smoking. She then went on to say that I’ll probably die within six months.

Okay, Nurse Sherri didn’t say I would die…I was just trying to spice things up, because like I said…I’ve got nothing.

Anyhoo…If you can think of something that will get my mind kicked into gear I’d love to hear it.

Until tomorrow, my friends…

Cheers!!

Hey didn't say where your gift card was for... but I got a really good radio at Radio Shack for about $30. It's a dyno-batt one but I use about 3 AAA a month in it for my work truck. It is the bomb!

Cheesy: The card is for Best Buy. I have a dyno radio but it isn't that good. Plus there's the cranking and all. But thanks for the tip, I'll check Radio Shack out if I can't find anything at Best Buy. Cheesy One. Cheers!!

We went shopping for a basic cd cassette radio and found even that to be hard to find. They were are all MP3 or Ipod equipped docking station or some such crap, bigger better woo hoo yah right. We don't have an MP3 or Ipod. The nicest one we found for a basic radio was at Target but cost $70 a Crosley. It sounded great but we didn't buy it.

A basic radio must be like looking for a "bung hole reamer".

Lu: Yeah, I have a feeling that that is what I am going to be facing, but we shall see. Have a great weekend, pal. Cheers!!

What's a radio?

Schmoop said...

Jay: Oh well...Just like shit, nothing happens. Cheers Jay!!

Phfrankie: Mmmm...Can you see 'em as an all-girl band in short, tight nurses' outfits. Oh yeah, bring on the bedside band manner. Cheers P-Man!!

Songbird: Ha. I just got home and that was pretty much the attitude Ryno and I got from the kid at Best Buy. They had nothin' as far as plain old radios go. Cheers!!

Hrmm...when not in my car, I stream my radio on the computer. I canna help ya. You might give last.fm a try. You can pretty much create your own station.

Schmoop said...

Starr: I can pick up the stations that I like to listen to on my computer, I'd just rather listen on the radio...Somtimes the stream is interrupted and what not. Cheers Hot Stuff!!
