I'm A Year Older Today, But Still Havin' Fun!!

Forty-six years ago on February 7, 1965 I was delivered from my mom's womb.

Actually, as the last of nine kids, I more or less just fell out. But nonetheless, I came into this world, and here I am still...somehow.

Anyhoo...

Sunday evening was a good time. I went over to Ryno's to have a Super Bowl/Birthday Eve party...Just Ryno, his mom, and myself. It was nice.

The food was excellent. We had a myriad of different chips with corn salsa and the ex made some fantastic homemade sliders...

The best thing? His mom sent me home with all four that were leftover. She wanted to get a birthday cake, but Ryno reminded her that I am not a big cake fan so, she picked these up...

Cute, and delicious. After the obligatory singing of Happy Birthday, I opened the most touching B-Day card I have ever received, and hand picked by Ryno...

The message inside was even more touching...

Inside the card was a cartoon that Ryno drew prior to my arrival just for his dear, OLD dad...

And then came a couple of presents...Father's Day, Christmas, or my birthday, Ryno insists on having his mom get me T-Shirts that he thinks I will find funny. First up, this one...

And this was one was found incredibly amusing by his mom...

I dig 'em both. Of course, his mom had to take a picture of me and our little man prior to my departure...

It was fun and I thank them both.
And now today, since it's officially my birthday, I shall party all day today and once Schmoop gets home from work we will tip a few, cut up, make fun of others and each other, and then...have hot, sweaty Birthday sex.

Damn...I'm a lucky guy, indeed.

Enjoy your Monday, and as always...

Cheers!!

That card is hilarious! And I love the football shaped plates. Party accessories are always cool.

Happy Birthday my friend!

Jay: Sandra Lee would be so proud of the football chip bowls, and the football brownies were really good. Ryno is a funny young man. It was cool.

Thanks Jay, and we will do this all over again in exactly a month from today. ; ) Cheers Jay!!

I thought you were 42 going on 43. Just how long did your mothers labor go on?

And who's that old guy with Ryno?

Schmoop said...

Mike: Ha, aren't you funny...I have no idea how long it lasted. She probably merely sneezed and out I came. Cheers Mike!!

The birthday card was priceless. You really should think about getting it framed if for no other reason than to taunt Ryno with it when he is 46. Happy Birthday Matt.

Schmoop said...

Michele: That's actually a good idea. I should frame it side by side with the cartoon. I'm all over it. Thanks Michele and have a lovely day. Cheers!!

I like this day as it is the start of the 5 months we are the same age. No ... not technically, but still!

AND ... you and Cam now will have the opportunity to wear the same shirt - he too has the wiener shirt!

Looks like a great day and, I'm sure, the start to a great year!

Schmoop said...

Dana: I wish you were older...right now...I so dig older women with one exception. Tell my shirt brother to have a good day. It shall be a GREAT year!! Cheers Dana!!

Love the T-shirts! Happy B-day, Funny Man. (Oh, nice hat, too. Glad to see you're wearing your big boy panties - I mean, you'd have to be...)

Schmoop said...

Rat: Yeah, I dig the shirts he picks out. That hat has become a tradition. It's a hot one...Especially when one is wearing 8,000 pounds of clothes beneath it. Cheers and Thanks Lovely One!!
