This Week, the Dog Days of Summer Will be Barkin'

I hope that everybody had a glorious, fun-filled weekend.

And if you didn’t, well, then it sucks to be you. Ha. Kidding of course. I kid because I love.

But alas, another Monday has come yet again; and boy, I need this day to rest up, because this week is gonna be HUGE here in the land of Bagwine.

Okay, maybe not huge, but the possibility of fun is definitely in the air.

I am going to be spending quite a bit of time with the R-Man this week, as next Tuesday his carefree summer days get replaced by the classrooms and corridors of his eighth grade adventure.

Fortunately for him, his mom, and I, he likes school for the most part. Well, except for the studying and work that go along with it.

Also this week, Schmoop’s monthly friend, Sid, and the accompanying hemorrhaging, should be exiting so maybe the Matt-Man may get a little sumpin sumpin a few times this week. Boo Yah!!

Tuesday on Bagwine Ruminations, we will be celebrating several birthdays.

Yepper folks, it’s not just Bill Clinton’s birthday tomorrow. I will be giving a shout out to a couple of other folks as well.

Now, Wednesday? I am not so sure what is going on here on Wednesday. I guess for now, we will Mouseketeer it, and say that Wednesday will be, Anything Can Happen Day.

Thursday…Look Out, folks. If all goes well, I will have a brand spankin’ new Blog-Fo-Mercial© for you. Whoever will it be?

Well, it could be any of you, because I have yet to figure out who it’s going to be.

Another big event is taking place Thursday afternoon on my day off. Schmoop is coming home early (so I am not completely in the bag) and I am going to color her hair. Is that exciting or what?

That’s right. I am strapping on the plastic gloves and coloring her hair. Her locks will be changing from a dirty blonde/brown/gray mop to being a mane of Intense Auburn.

The auburn locks combined with her striking blue eyes, and pale, anemic looking skin will result in a new kaleidoscope of hotness for the Schmoop.

I write…I cook…I do dishes…and now, add painter of tresses to my resume'. I am a frickin' Renaissance Man.

And that takes us to my post on Friday, which will give you before, after, and action shots during the process of this entire mess metamorphosis.

Lastly, I am diving into my first foray into a Fantasy Football League.

That’s right, the Cynical Bastard, Jay, has created a league, and my team, the Bagwine Boners are in it.

I have a couple of things going against me. Number one, it appears that most folks in this league have done this before.

Secondly, and most importantly, the draft is Thursday night at 8:30 P.M. EDT. Ha. Thursday is my day off. Do you realize how shit-faced I will be by 8:30!!? Holy Baby Jeebus.

I’ll probably be trying to pick a player and wonder why Johnny Unitas isn’t on the list.

I can hear it now..."What do you mean he’s dead? So what...I want Unitas, and if I can’t have him, I’ll take Bronko Nagurski, Godammit!!"

Oh yeah, this can’t be good. Nonetheless, I will post my team’s mediocre roster on Friday, as well.

So folks, I hope you have a Monday as good as a Monday can be. Until tomorrow…

Cheers!!

Schmoop is going to look EVEN hotter with auburn hair.

I can make sure that Michael Vick is available for you to draft #1 over-all if you want. ;-)

Ohhhhh a new gingerhead! Welcome to the land of fun-wenches Schmoop!

And a Monday as good as Monday can be to you too Matt-man :)

Draft a Manning as your QB (or if Derek Anderson starts for Cleveland this year he'll be a great pickup)Joseph Addai (Colts) is a great option at RB and pick up Jason Witten (Dallas) as your TE. You'll need two quality receivers. I recommend Terrell Owens (Dallas)as one of them.

If you win anything I excpect 25% of your winnings for this valuable information I have just imparted to you.

Jay: Ha. Thanks for the Vick pick. Considering the title of today's post the Vick comment is even funnier. Cheers Jay!!

Cheesy: For added authenticity I wanted to color her hoo-ha area as well. She didn't like that idea. Cheers!!

Lu: Why thank ya Lu. Cheers to ya!!

Lady Jaye: I have my picks ranked and ready to go for the most part, but as you know, it all depends on where I pick in the order and who is available.

I agree with your tips, except for Anderson. Last year he seemed to have one good half and one bad half every game. Cheers LJ!!

In baseball about 6 years ago, I drafted a dead guy. I still get made fun of. But in my defense, he died like 3 days before the draft in a motorcycle accident. Who knew?

Sounds like an exciting week.

Schmoop said...

Karen: Ha. Now that IS funny. I mean for you...not for the dead guy. Cheers Karen!!

I think that whoever wrote the song "Monday Monday" should be drawn quartered and then racked... Here is to the death of the weekend day!

There is Monday night football though, good luck with your fantasy league.

Schmoop said...

Roger: Well, I believe John and Michelle Phillips wrote it, which is funny because I can't believe back in those days they even knew what day it was. Cheers!!

Phfrankie Bondo said...

...where is Bronko Nagurski when we really need him?...but I'll settle for Michelle Philips!

Schmoop said...

Phfrankie: No kiddin'. And Michelle? She was quite the vixen back in her day. Cheers P-Man!!

You do realize that washing another person's hair is considered one of THE top sensual things to do.

I keep trying to tell Fernando at the salon that anyway!

What a glorious week ahead.

Schmoop said...

Dianne: Indeed. Maybe after this, hair washing will become our new form of foreplay...

Replacing our current form which includes sitting on the living room floor, eating spaghetti/meatb alls and butterscotch pudding with our hands while we listen to Verdi's, Aida. Cheers Di!!

I've been a redhead before. It's a lot of fun! I think you will both enjoy it enormously. Hee hee.

Oh, gawd, I love getting my hair washed. Auburn sounds Hawt! Schmoopie is gonna be gorgeous: at 5'7" and 127 lbs - ooh la la, you lucky bastard!

Steve has a Fantasy Baseball team, "Wilson's Willies." We're sucking wind this season. Makes watching games more interesting, though (I don't care if our team loses as long as MY player gets an RBI or two!). Haven't drafted a dead guy, but some of them PLAY like they're dead!

Dana said...

Ummmm ... you are going to add highlights, right??

The Bagwine Boners just better watch out for the Amazon Gargoyles ... I'll be drafting Jim Zorn and Steve Largent!

Desert Songbird said...

I whole-heartedly recommend Joseph Addai as a RB; I would pick him any day of the week. (As a matter of fact, that's who first came to mind when I read you would be doing this, but someone beat me to it.)

Of course, Frank Gore could come back from his "sub-par" season of last year. But I think Addai is your better bet.

I wish you would come color my hair. It would save me time and money. Or, well...maybe just money...

the last days of summer...already!

you have quite the week...the hair dyeing should be the highlight.

Schmoop said...

Winter: It will be like having sex with a different woman...um...I mean...so to speak. Cheers Winter!!

Desert Rat: I think I am looking forward to it more than her. I will build my team as best as my stupor will allow. Cheers Rat!!

Dana: Nooooooo. A full fledged total color, kinky, eh? Largent and Zorn, eh? I will have to counter their pass attack with Alex Karras and Jake Scott. Cheers and good to see you back hot stuff!!

Schmoop said...

Songbird: In spite of your Indy bias, I like Addai, but we shall see.

We wouldn't save time? What are you implying here? Cheers!!

Kat: Ha. That was so bad it was good. I know, the last cicada will soon be buzzing. Cheers Kat!!

Knight said...

Just make sure you don't accidentally dye her face. That shit is hard to get off.

Desert Songbird said...

It's not just because he plays for my beloved Colts, darlin'; I choose Addai because he's a great RB.

Besides, Frank Gore plays for the 49ers, so you can't say I have a total Colts bias. I can appreciate talent regardless for which team he plays. (Except for that over-blown, "God-I'm-so-perfect" yahoo in NE. Blech.)

Schmoop said...

Knight: I'll be careful...I'll have a few bracers prior to the event so my hands don't shake. And hey...I couldn't comment on your Jesus Camp post; I was so bummed. Cheers!!

Songbird: Great? Now, c'mon that's a bit pre-mature. And WTF? Are you saying that Mitt Romney is over-blown? Cheers!!

Cinnamon Girl said...

Yay Schmoop and I will have the same hair color! Kidlet does mine :P

Schmoop said...

Starr: If only you knew how much of a challenge this is for her. She is not a big fan of change. And you have the same color? Mmmmm, my fantasies will take a turn to the Pacific Northwest. Bada Bing. Cheers Starr!!

Cinnamon Girl said...

Damn straight I go red. Acutally the color of Wild Irish Rose is pretty close to what I shoot for. How is that for a coinkydink?

Schmoop said...

Starr: Oh be still my heart. I want to drink your hair. Cheers!!

Bond: Damn Straight. In addition to all of that, I am one helluva drawer of Stick Figures. Man, I am a multiple threat. Cheers!!

Cinnamon Girl said...

But can you do The Chicken Dance? Dancing while choking chicken does not count :P

Schmoop said...

Starr: Actually, I can do it very well, although it's not something I readily admit. Cheers!!

Schmoop said...

Evil: Ha. Yeah, I get that alot. They are just things I like doing. I am weird like that. Cheers EG!!
