President Obama, while attending the meeting of the Organization of American States, shook hands with President Hugo Chavez.
The O-Man even accepted an gift in the form of an anti-American book from the Venezuelan Visigoth.
And then...Obama sat next to El Presidente’ Daniel Ortega as the third rate Banana Fascist and anachronism went on a 55 minute rant against the United States.
Obama said nothing in the defense of our shining nation on the hill. When Ortega was done, O-Man simply adjourned himself from the room.
The right wing in this country is now up in arms. How could Obama give such credibility to President Ego Chavez by shaking his hand?
And…
How dare Obama not give the insignificant, drip of sweat on a gnat's balls, Ortega, a tongue lashing, thereby giving him credibility?
Shame, for shame, President America Hater!! C’mon, folks…
Just over the last few days, Obama gave the go ahead, and three Somali thugs were killed and an American freighter Captain rescued.
His administration has seen Chavez decide to send its Ambassador back to Washington.
Due to American pressure, Iranian President Mahmoud Dinnerjacket has ordered a speedy and fair appeal for American “spy” and journalist, Roxana Saberi.
How fair it will be remains to be seen, but the overture made by this Persian nut job is not insignificant.
We have also seen Raul Castro agree to talk with the United States about human rights concerns, having a free press, and “everything” about which the Obama administration is concerned.
Finally…after fifty years, our ineffective policy towards Cuba may see some effective inroads made. But alas…
All that is of concern to some of the more jingoistic, xenophobic Americans (and politicians trying to once again be relevant) is the following horror of horrors...

I must say…I was a Hillary Clinton supporter during the last campaign and had reservations about President Obama.
But, the more I see of him, especially (and ironically) in the area of foreign policy, I become more impressed.
I think he’s smart; he’s clever, and most importantly…He’s acting like an adult. I like that.
And now with that being said, I have an announcement.
I have several projects in the works outside of Bagwine Ruminations and find myself constantly struggling with trying to keep up with Bagwine and getting to other sites.
Beginning Thursday and appearing once or twice a week thereafter, my best friend Schmoop, will be contributing to Bagwine Ruminations.
I hope you appreciate her wit, charm and the fact that she is incredibly hot when she cusses like a sailor.
Best of all, she works cheap.
On the other hand, since she has lived with me for nine years, she is paying quite a high price and deserves better.
Have a lovely Tuesday, all.
Cheers!!
