Sunday Morning Church Disservice: Basketball and Corned Beef

It’s going to be a cool and cloudy Sabbath here in Bagwine, Ohio and there is madness in the March air.

It’s a big week ahead…

This evening across America, college hoops players and fans everywhere will be jumping for joy, crying in their beer, and many crying foul.

The 2011 NCAA Men’s College Basketball Tournament brackets will be announced around 7 tonight.

Later tonight, I like so many other folks, will begin filling out my bracket so come Thursday evening I can watch my prognostications slowly lose hope and then crash and burn like Stewart Payne.

But, my crappiness in picking winners will be tempered by the fact that Thursday is also St. Patrick’s Day.

Come Thursday night I won’t care about my picks because I’ll be passed out on the couch with an empty bottle of Wild Irish Rose in my hand, my tongue green from beer, and corned beef and cabbage stains on my shirt.

Erin Go Braugh, Bitches!!

Amen, and Amen…

That’s all I have for today so enjoy your Sunday. I’ll be watching the bracket announcements with Ryno this evening and then I’ll head home and catch up with some of you later tonight.

Cheers!!

Brooklyn Decker Naked: Things Are Warming Up!!

I got nothing’ and today I shall be busy…sorta…kinda…whatever. So, let’s quickly recap this past week’s events.

The Packers won the Super Bowl. I had a birthday and got drunk. Egyptians, using a play from the Jewish playbook, freed themselves from bondage.

That about sums things up. You’re welcome.

And now a pretty picture of Brooklyn Decker naked…

Trust me…in my mind, she is very, very naked, and so am I.

Anyhoo…

Ryno did have a basketball game last night and the ECA Lions roared to victory:

The box score:

MIAMI VALLEY (44) — Robinson 1 0-0 3, C. Roe 4 0-0 11, Lemon 1 0-2 2, Benedict 2 3-4 8, Makiewicz 3 5-7 12, B. Watson 2 2-4 8. Totals: 13 10-17 44.

EMMANUEL CHRISTIAN (52) — D. Stroder 0 0-1 0, R. Mahoney 2 1-2 7, J. Klawer 2 0-2 5, K. Stewart 3 2-4 8, E. Aikens 1 0-0 2, J. Reep 4 5-7 13, A. Stumpf 1 1-2 3, M. Scott 6 2-4 14. Totals: 19 11-22 52.

3-pointers: Miami Valley 8 ( Robinson 1, C. Roe 3, Benedict 1, Makiewicz 1, B. Watson 2); Emmanuel Christian 3 (R. Mahoney 2, J. Klawer 1).

My little sophomore had a good game. I leave right after the game so that by the time Ryno gets out of the building, he can call me.

It puts a smile on my face to hear the smile on his over the phone after a game like that. The Lions have another one tonight, so here’s to a good game boys.

That’s all I got. That’s all there is. There isn’t any more.

Have a wonderful weekend. I will, because we will be in the 40’s by tomorrow. Praise Jeebus!!

Cheers!!

Life Lessons from the Basketball Court

A tough loss for the ECA Lions last night as they fell 49-42 to move to 6-7 on the season.

Those boys were missing shots from as close as two feet from the basket. I could have built an addition to the school with all the bricks they were throwing up.

Oy…

Ryno played some good defense but only went one for three from 3 pt. land. Oh well, these things happen, but there was a bright spot.

The ex was sitting some ten rows over from me with her brother and his wife. We had spoken briefly before the game and we were in plain view of one and other from our respective seats.

Sure, we get along decently now, but there still moments of contentiousness between us. However…

Late in the game, Ryno was outside the arc, the ball was kicked out to him, and he promptly drained a three pointer.

As the voice from the announcer filled the gym with the booming resonation of, “Three point shot good by Ryan Mahooooooooney.”….

I looked over at the ex, she at me, and we smiled at each other shaking our heads in the affirmative as she flashed two fingers at me twice in acknowledgement of our sweet Number 22, Ryno.

In spite of any problems she and I have had in the past, present, or may have in the future, when our kid does well, all the bad noise between her and I fades into the background like the echoes of the announcer’s voice.

As it should be with all parents, married or not.

Happy Saturday, all.

Cheers!!

Sunday Morning Church Disservice: Packers, Bears, Jets, Steelers...and Lions, Oh My!!

Another sunny, but cold Sabbath in Bagwine, Ohio but the cold is no big deal because many Americans will be huddled around their TVs.

The NFC and AFC Football Championships will be taking place today.

In the first game, the Aaron Rodgers led Cheeseheads from Green Bay will invade Chicago’s Soldier Field and tangle with the Monsters of the Midway led by Jay Cutler.

In the late game, Jimmy Hoffa and the New Jersey Jets will plow westward in order to do battle with the Pittsburgh Steelers led by Troy Polamalu’s hair and Big Ben Roethlisberger’s dork.

It should be a fun-filled day full of drinking, trash talking, and hard hitting action, and that is just from the domestic violence that will be taking place across the country.

The games themselves should be just as exciting.

I have no idea why, but I am picking the Jets and the Packers to prevail today. I just feel that they are playing their best football of the season at the right time.

I’ll be taking in the first game on the road with others, and watch the second game within the friendly confines of the Bagwine digs. Should be a wonderful day.

In other sports news…

My son Ryno (Number 22) and the ECA Lions took on the Ohio Division IV seventh ranked Irish of Springfield Catholic Central. There were pre-game rumors of a blowout in the makings by the Irish.

It was anything but…

After trailing by 13 at the end of the third quarter, the Lions roared back and with 29.4 seconds left, Ryno drained his third three pointer of the night to bring them within 4.

Alas, time was on the side of the Irish and they held on for a 59-58 victory over the Lions. And with that I give you the box score:

EMMANUEL CHRISTIAN (58) — R. Mahoney 3 0-0 9, J. Klawer 2 0-1 5, K. Stewart 2 4-4 9, J. Reep 3 1-2 9, A. Stumpf 2 0-0 4, M. Scott 7 6-10 22. Totals: 19 11-17 58.

CATHOLIC CENTRAL (59) — J. Aldridge 6 2-3 14, H. Hagerman 4 2-2 12, C. Timmons 2 0-0 4, C. Latham 6 1-4 13, R. Rankin 1 0-1 2, A. Chase 2 0-0 4, M. Ellis 4 2-6 10. Totals: 25 7-16 59.

3-pointers: Emmanuel 8 (R. Mahoney 3, J. Klawer 1, J. Reep 2, M. Scott 2). Central 2 (J. Aldridge 2).

In spite of the loss, it was a somewhat sloppy but exciting game, and it was exciting to watch the R-Man go 3-5 from 3 point land. Here’s to the Lions who held their own against one of the best Division IV HS Basketball teams in the state.

Amen, and Amen…

Enjoy the games and the lilting wailing of police sirens as they respond to the domestic violence calls.

Cheers!!

Three Point Field Goals and Two Point GPA's

My kid finished school last week and we got his grade card, and...

Another less than stellar performance turned in by Ryno. At least he’s consistent. If only he would learn to pay attention and hand shit in.

Oh well, I can delight in the fact that I have a son who next school year, will be the smartest “barely C” sophomore student in his school.

On the upside, in addition to being a bright, sensitive, and uber funny 15 year old, the boy will in all likelihood be playing on the varsity basketball team this coming year.

Even though only a sophomore this fall, he may start at shooting guard or small forward. He’s already working at it.

Hell, the basketballers including Ryno, already have practice and/or weightlifting three times a week. He loves it.

I mentioned that this past weekend he had a basketball camp. Over the weekend his school played seven games against various teams from around the state.

In seven games playing with the varsity team against other varsity teams, he scored 66 points for an average of 9.4 points a game. But, here’s the amazing thing…

His 66 points? They were a result of 22, 3-point shots. Damn right.

His coach, when seeing that Ryno was open or even somewhat open, would yell, “Pop it, Mahoney.”

And pop it he did. The boy can shoot. And his defense? Bobby Knight would consider him gold. Or as Ryno says:

“I am The Glove. Oh sure Dad, some say Gary Payton was The Glove when he played, but I make Gary Payton look like The Mitten.”

Oy…If only his grade point average was as big as his ego. And you know what perplexes me?

I still don’t know where the hell he got that big ego trait?

If ever there was a person who is without ego, it is me. Man, the acorn fell far from the tree on that one. Right?

Have a wonderful day all. I have a another hot, sweaty 10-9 shift at the Beer Mine today, but it’s all good.

There may be some outstandingly huge and sweaty cleavage coming through. I’d like seeing that…

But not nearly as much as seeing Ryno get all A’s and B’s this coming school year.

Cheers!!

Working Through the White Death and the Weekend

Oh my God. The White Death is currently crippling the Bagwine area. We must have at least ¼ inch of snow on the ground.

And the roads? Well, at 32 degrees our roads are very, very, very…um…wet. You know, like it rained or something.

But as some of the preeminent freaks in the world reside in Bagwine, drivers ’round here will freak out and cause wrecks left and right.

Oh well, as long as I safely make the three minute drive to work today I will be a happy man. Did Matt-Man say “work”, you ask?

Yes ladies and gentlemen, I will be working ALL day today. 11 A.M.-9 P.M. And that’s not all, no sir-ree-bob.

I am working 11 A.M.-7 P.M. tomorrow. Holy Moly, I will be spending the entire weekend de-thristifying and selling smokes to stressed out last minute holiday shoppers.

I wouldn’t have it any other way. I feel like the Santa Claus of the Beer and Cigarette world. Ho, Ho, Ho, burp, hack.

Schmoop picked up some candy canes for me so that I can pass them out to all of the hot babes that come through this weekend. I have approximately 40 candy canes, which means…

After I pass out canes to all of the really hot babes that come through our Drive-Thru, when I am done working the weekend, I will still have 36 candy canes to put on our tree at home.

Wish me if you will, a quiet, tip laden, moron free 18 hour weekend stint at the Beer Mine. I thank you in advance.

I went to Ryno’s basketball game last night. Oy Vay!! His school, which is a small private school, stepped up in competition this year by joining a conference that has some Division III and IV High School powers.

Well my friends…Last night, it showed…and showed…and showed.

Many people would call the game last night, “a character builder”. Ryan’s team got brutalized and posterized by a score of 62-18. The ugliness of the final score was matched only by the play of Ryno and his teammates.

The varsity team fared little better, losing 71-41. Oh well…live, learn, and get better.

Lastly…

Here’s to my nephew Kevin. Kevin will be graduating from Eastern Illinois University today. Congratulations to the big guy and to his dad (my brother Denny), who did a fine job raising him and Kev's brother and sister.

Have a wonderful weekend all. I’ll pop in when I can, provided some non-driving mo-fo doesn’t crash into the Beer Mine on the ¼ inch of snow.

Cheers!!

Al-Hijra: Happy Islamic New Year!!

Shoot those fireworks and bang those pots and pans Bitches, today is Al-Hijra, the Islamic New Year!!

Wait a minute…pots and pans? Fireworks? Muslims? Let’s start over…

Fire off those AK-47s and detonate those IEDs Bitches, today is Al-Hijra, the Islamic New Year!! Yeah, that’s more like it.

Today, Muslims around the world will be entering another new year filled with the same old bitterness, self-loathing, and not knowing the joy of eating a bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwich.

Al-Hijra marks the day that the prophet Mohammed (or is that, Muhammad?) migrated to the city of Medina. While Al-Hijra is not a big day of celebration for the Muslims, it is a day that began a tenet and belief among many Muslims.

You see, when Mohammed arrived in Medina after a long, hot journey, not only was he hungry and thirsty, the schismatic bastard was hornier than hell.

He stopped at each tea house, brothel, and every 7th Century al-Disco club that he could find. He would say to the ladies, “Wanna come back to my place and watch me talk to God?”

Oh yeah baby…Mohammed or Muhammad, whatever, was killin’ with the Arabian babes. He took a slew of them for a Magic Mohammed Carpet Ride. By the break of dawn the next morning..?

Mohammed had done the nasty in camel style with six dozen hot, saucy Saudi chicks. Upon pulling his Muslim Meat Ka-Bob from the last of the six dozen babes he looked skyward and screamed:

“Praise be to Allah; I feel like I've died and gone to Heaven!!”

That is why today, Muslim men think that if they die in the name of Allah they will go to heaven and be received by 72 virgins.

But, other than that and like I said, the Islamic New Year is not a big deal to most Muslims.

Some mark it by drinking a special tea, others with a small gift, but most Muslims simply celebrate the day by taking the only bath that they'll have all year.

I guess it would be difficult for many Muslims ‘round the world to get excited about a new year. I mean, they know it will be just like the last...

A diet of dirt and hummus sandwiches, no alcohol, and the only entertainment is to listen to the incoherent wailing and shrieking of Islamic music on the radio.

Yeah, I can see their indifference to this holiday.

Hell they don’t even have a Baby New Year like we do in here in the States…

Isn’t he cute? Of course if the Islamic world did have a Baby New Year to mark this day, he’d wear his diaper a little differently…

Anyhoo…To all of my Muslim friends out there, of which I have none, Happy Al-Hijra. May all of your wildest dreams come true and your flocks be reproductive.

And now for something completely different…

I will finally get to watch Ryno play tonight. His High School JV basketball team takes to the floor at 6 P.M., and I will be there to root him on.

How will I know which player he is? Because he will look exactly like this…

Boo Yah…What a King of the Court he be.

Cheers!!

P.S. Was it wrong of me to have sent a link of this post to the Royal Saudi Embassy in Washington, D.C? I don't want to start an international incident or anything. Just asking...

Sunday Morning Church Disservice: Matt-Man Drivel

It’s going to be a gray and wet Sabbath here in Bagwine, Ohio. Fortunately, the temp will be in the mid-30’s so my 11-7 shift in the Beer Mine will be quite bearable.

Praise Jeebus!!

My weekend postings have taken on more of a personal flavor of late and that’s cool. I think I’ll continue to use Saturday and Sunday to just talk about what’s going on in the world of Matt-Man and the Bagwine area.

Ryno’s JV basketball team won Friday night 45-34. Once again Ryno started and played nearly the entire game.

The boy while pretty good at sinking the 3 point shot, has turned into a 160 pound defensive juggernaut.

No matter the size of the opposing team’s best player, Ryno is the one assigned to cover him when playing man-to-man defense.

Ryno had a good game once again although he only took two shots during the hard fought 28 minute contest. His stats for the game:

3 points (He made 1 of 2 from 3 point range)
9 rebounds
5 assists
1 block
5 steals

Ryno is becoming the kind of player Bobby Knight would dig. Defense, Baby, Defense…Here’s to ya, Ryno.

I hope everyone’s shopping for Christmas is going well. Mine is nearly done, for I have no money with which to do any, which makes it quite easy.

I do have to figure out something to get Ryno and something for him to give his mom, but other than that my family peeps are getting cards.

If Pizza Bill has time, I am going to see if he can make Schmoop and I one of his fan-damn-tastic pizzas for Christmas Day. (Yes Bill, I will pay you. Jeez.)

And that be it, Bitches. This kinda thing makes me uncomfortable, but what can ya do? It sucks, but things happen and on the upside, next Christmas can only be better. So, Boo Yah.

Schmoop and I, talked to Bagwine buddy Jay last night. As usual, the Cynical Bastard was drunker than hell when we called…oh wait, it was Schmoop and I that were shit-faced. Anyhoo…

Schmoop has always been taken by our favorite Viking Helmeted He-Man and would gladly shack up with him, so I asked Jay, “Do you know what the only thing is that is keeping Schmoop away from you?”

Cleverly, Jay responded, “You?” Ha. “No”, I replied, “it’s fact that you live in Arkansas. She doesn‘t do Arkansas.”

Anyway, Jay brought up the fact that it would be nice to have Schmoop’s schedule so he would know when she is home alone, and he could talk to her without me being around.

I figured that perhaps not only Jay, but other horny men would enjoy having that info, so in the way that God gave us his only Son, I give to you Schmoop’s “Home Alone” schedule.

Sunday: 11 A.M.- 8:15 P.M.

Monday: 4:30 P.M.-9:15 P.M.

Tuesday: 4:30 P.M.-9:15 P.M.

Wednesday: 4:30 P.M.-7:00 P.M.

Thursday and Friday: Sorry, I am home all day, but I do usually pass out by 7:15 P.M. so, there’s an opening for ya.

Saturday: I typically work 11-4, but you have to catch her early in the day. And I mean EARLY. She drinks a lot on Saturday, and then she eats like a pig and goes to sleep after watching "Keeping Up Appearances".

Hey Jay!? Feel free to sell our phone number to anyone who wants it. Make all the money you can off of it, buddy.

So there you have it you fans of Schmoop. You can thank me at your convenience.

Amen, and Amen…

Enjoy your Sunday and as always…

Cheers!!

Sunday Morning Church Disservice: Grandpa, A Referee, and a Rabbi Walk Into a Basketball Game...

Another chilly but partly sunny Sabbath in Bagwine on tap for today.

I shall of course being working 11-7 doling out libation and nicotine to thirsty and Marlboro addicted football viewers.

As it should be.

I am headed over to Ryno’s tonight after work to go over his homework for a bit. I get the pleasure of also taking him to the orthodontist at eight tomorrow morning as well.

He is getting his second and final round of braces installed. I wish I could spend Christmas with the orthodontist. I bet there will be presents aplenty under his family’s tree.

Speaking of Ryno…His team lost 51-41 Friday night. On top of that, there are closed door discussions going on as to whether Grandpa should attend any more of Ryno’s games.

It seems that his 73 year old grandpa has spontaneously become an expert in the area of basketball officiating and loudly and forcefully will let his opinion be heard from the stands. I’m sorry I missed it.

The R-Man did play the entire game and finished with:

8 Pts. (including 2 shots made from 3 pt. range)
3 Rebounds
2 Assists
2 Blocks
4 Steals

We also found out that he has grown another inch and now stands 5’11”. A mere inch shorter than the Matt-Dad. Oy Vay!!

His next game is Friday 12/11. There should be magic in the air as tip off coincides with the beginning of Hanukkah.

Will the power of the magic Jewish candle help his private Christian school basketball team play better? Will the ref call players for double dreideling? Will Grandpa once again start kvetching and obnoxiously kibitz the refs from his seat..?

Only Yahweh knows.

There will be holiday fun o’plenty this week on Bagwine Ruminations. Unfortunately, as I will be tied up with work and other things Monday and Tuesday, it really won’t begin until Wednesday. But…

Much like anticipating the return of our Lord and Savior, Jeebus Christ, it should be well worth the wait.

Amen, and Amen…

Have a wonderful Sunday all, and I will see you when I can.

Cheers!!

Saturday Mish-Mash

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

It’s a cold morning in Bagwine. 21 degrees Fahrenheit. For all of you pretentious Celsius clowns out there that’s -6 degrees.

I start my new schedule today and will be working 11-4 today, so I’ll be shivering while delivering the suds and smokes.

For me, winter is officially here when I go into the beer cooler to warm up because it’s warmer in the cooler than it is outside.

Today is such a day, but I dig the new schedule. I work four days and then off for three…and unlike my days off in the old schedule, my days off are consecutive. Boo Yah!!

I like working 11-4 because it gets me up and gets me going and I get off early enough to still enjoy the Saturday. And today will be decent because although it will be cold, it is supposed to be sunny. I like that.

I know what you’re thinking…

“Damn Matt-Man, this post is fucking fascinating!!”

What can I say? Fascinating is my middle name. Well, it’s one of my middle names…My other one being, Asshole. But of course, what’s in a name?

Anyhoo…

That’s all I’ve got. That’s all there is. There isn’t anymore.

I’ll talk to Ryno later this morning and find out how his regular season debut on his High School JV basketball team went and report back.

One last thing…

Good Luck to the Wittenberg University Tigers. Wittenberg is a very good private school located here in Bagwine, and their football team is playing in the NCAA Division III quarterfinals today.

Go Tigers!!

Until later today, perhaps tomorrow, or well, whenever…

Cheers!!

Rick Pitino and Karen Sypher: I'd Like The Spaghetti, Meat, and Balls With A Side of Extortion

Rick Pitino…

University of Louisville basketball coach…Devout Roman Catholic…A man who enjoys incorporating food into his sex life with women other than his wife.

He’s the ultimate triple threat, and…a source of irony.

If you haven’t heard, Louisville Head Basketball Coach, Rick Pitino has been involved in some legal wrangling involving an extramarital liaison that he had with the Bluegrass State floozie and wearer of way too much make-up, Karen Sypher.

Evidently, ol’ Rick “The Stick” Pitino engaged in a sexual encounter with one Karen Sypher back in August of 2003.

In keeping with the limelight he enjoys as one of our nation’s most successful basketball coaches, Pitino and Sypher did the full court nasty next to, under, and on top of a table at the upscale Louisville restaurant, Porcini.

Oh Baby, I can see Pitino’s olive oil covered head bobbin up and down under Sypher’s skirt as she is writhing and screaming, “Mangia!! Mangia!!”

Unfortunately…Pitino couldn’t adhere strictly to the, “eatin’ ain’t cheatin’ rule.” Noooooo, Mr. Big Stuff had to bring his A-Game to the table as well as his hardwood court experience. Damn right.

Rick the Stick, slam dunked Sypher’s love basket and in the process got fouled because his move created a three-point play. Him, her, and her womb.

Yep, it seems that not only did Pitino spring for a really good Porcini dinner, he got her pregnant. See what happens when you order ala carte? It’s costly.

Well, Sypher wanted to have an abortion so Pitino coughed up $3,000.00. Of course being the devout Catholic that he is, he claims it was merely to help her get health coverage.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t think that anyone who has just banged a prominent person is in return, looking for an insurance policy with affordable premiums and a 10 dollar co-pay.

C’mon Pitino don’t lie. God and Pope Benny are watching you.

Of course, the story takes a turn for the worse. It appears that years later Sypher got a hair up her ass that wasn’t Pitino’s and decided to try to extort 10 Million Dollars from Pitino in order to keep things quiet.

Pitino said no; so guess what lipstick pig Sypher did?

That’s right…she claimed that their consensual, culinary carnality was actually an act of restaurant rape perpetuated by Pitino.

Ha…Yeah right, food whore.

The funny thing is…Sypher was, at the time, married (now estranged) to Pitino’s equipment manager, Tim Sypher.

I guess Tim isn’t too good at his job because he failed to manage his boss’s equipment from hosing his wife.

Wow…What a tangled web we weave. Here’s the thing, and the irony that I mentioned at the beginning of this blather.

Sen. John Ensign (R-NV), Gov. Mark Sanford (R-SC), and now Rick Pitino have recenty been busted for having affairs.

I have always found Gov. Mark Sanford to be a loon. Not quite with it. Kind of a Barney Rubble living in a Jetson’s world, but now, I’m not so sure.

While Ensign and Pitino were puttin’ the salami to the wives of friends and staff members in offices and restaurants here in the states…

Sanford at least had the good sense to hose some chick with no ties to his administration in an apartment in Argentina.

Sure he got caught as well, but damn…compared to the other two, Sanford’s a frickin’ genius.

Anyhoo, that’s all I have to say about that. Well there is one other thing…

To the owners of the restaurant, Porcini…Now is the perfect time to Americanize the name of your eatery.

Why don’t you rename it, Porky’s?

Cheers!!

Sunday Morning Church Disservice: Pete Maravich Lives, And So Does Respect!!

It is going to be a warm and sunny Sabbath in Bagwine, Ohio today.

A bit windy, but clear skies and 85 degrees. I can dig that!!

Working at the beer mines today from 11-7 should glean me plenty of panty and boob shots.

And seriously, would the Lord want anything other than that for me?

Of course not, ‘cause he Zoves me.

For those of you not in the know, I played my 14 year old man-child, Ryno, in round ball yesterday.

We play to 21, and in spite of being down 17-7 early on, I made an 11-2 run and closed the gap to 19-18.

However, Mini-Me, finally put me away with a 24 foot, 3 point shot to win 22-18.

I managed to escape without any, “middle-aged man trying to keep up with a 14 year old boy”, injuries.

Amen and Amen…

My post today is brief, and I leave you with the following…

For those of you who think it is sad that I couldn’t beat my kid at roundball, I leave you with the following video that we shot yesterday.

It kinda shows why he is a little hard to beat.

This was done in one take. His first shot is from 30 feet…His second one from 25 feet, and then he does a reverse lay-up.

I apologize for the sound, but damn, the wind was a-blowin’…

Anyhoo…Holy Moly, can that boy shoot or what?

I am not happy that I lost to my kid. I mean, no matter what, losing is not a good thing. However...

As soon as I lost to him, he called his mom at work. The joy in his voice was immeasurable.

He informed her of the result and was giddy. Not because he rubbed something in my face, but because he had accomplished something.

And I could tell that it was because he accomplished something against someone he truly respects.

I can dig that...alot.

As much as I love Freddie Mercury and Queen, I like Green Day even more..so, here's to a lovely day of Father/Son roundball play, no matter what the outcome was..

Have a fan-damn-tastic Sunday, all. I’m gonna spend mine working and hopefully looking at boobies.

Cheers!!

Hodgepodge Stew

I have several irons in the fire as I type this…none of which, of course, are near completion.

So because of that, and as well as a top secret mission I am working on today, I will just throw out some stuff and call today’s entry:

Hodgepodgical (Yes, it is a word. I invented it last year) Wednesday.

I am off until Saturday at 4 P.M. You know what that means. Uh-huh, that’s right…Not a whole helluva lot.

I was going to take down the Christmas tree, but we’re leaving it up year ‘round. We’ll decorate it accordingly to whichever holiday is approaching.

Hearts and baby pictures of me next month…Shamrocks in March…and perhaps in April as Easter nears, dozens of Cross danglin’ Jeebuses.

I have no idea how we’ll decorate it for Arbor Day. Maybe I’ll bring in a load of dirt and place it around its base.

Ann Coulter has a new book out. It’s called, Guilty: Liberal "Victims" and Their Assault on America

I have so many names for her. Annthrax Coulter…Annorexic Coulter…

Ann “The Fuckin’ Bitch Who Needs the High Hard One From Any Guy Who Could Have Sex With Her Without Throwing Up” Coulter.

Skeletor Girl can sell the books though…all that money and still a hypocritical asshole. Oh well.

I got another email from my blog critic Nicole.

I may have a few things to say about her sometime soon. She’s a real bitch pistol. But, I do love the back and forth so.

Ryno had another game Tuesday night. They won, and improved to 2-2. The Little Man had 5 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks.

Oddly enough, my boy has turned into a feared rebounder and defender. Although he’s not huge, his coach always matches him up against the other teams’ big guys.

I guess he ticked off a couple of the opponent’s big guys last night. This is what Ryno told me…

"Dad, they were so mad because I play defense like you and I do when we play each other.

I bump as much as I can without fouling, as I tell them to bring it, and make crazy faces at them. They got mad tonight."

Knowing how my son can embellish, I asked his Mom for confirmation. She replied…

"Matt, he was in their face. I could see him laughing and talking to them while they were dribbling...

and then he started making that weird face that you and him think is so funny...

Cheers!!
